I agree about the quality impression of HifiMan, they stand no chance to Meze. Neither in finish not engineering - But for some, they are considered to be the to notch sound choice. I am more into warmer sound so for me it is a Caldera Redheart on a tube amp at the moment.

Actually, I think that those people do not stop at a "mere" 8K Sus. They go for a Shangri La senior Complete with the amp or an HE-1. I think that among the OG Sus buyers, a lot are true audiophiles who stretch to buy one. If it were limited and 20K it would be a true prestige project thing.
