Sennheiser HD 660S2 thread
The way you did it is the way I did it too, that way you loosen them up gradually and evenly without affecting the headphone's shape. You could actually deform the whole headphone's construction if you don't manage to bend the metal sliders symmetrically. Also knew one where one slider didn't...- Nirvana Woman

DROP + GRELL OAE1
I'll never understand why people get offended when someone doesn't like something they like. It's just one's opinion, you're neither right nor wrong for disagreeing. Let's at least agree that people are ALLOWED to dislike something? Sometimes it feels like that's not the case anymore.- Nirvana Woman

Looking for a more "fun" open headphone than the K702
Idk I'd probably give the 660S2 a try, seems like the sort of fun headphone that might do it for you. I have the 58x which has a very similar tuning and they're very fun to listen to, extremely addictive. Nice bass as well, I have no issue following basslines and getting a nice punch for edm.- Nirvana Woman

What is the headphone that you will keep forever and never sell?
My 58x jubilee, especially because we can't know if drop will discontinue them or how long Drop will continue to exist for. But they also sound amazing too.- Nirvana Woman

DROP + GRELL OAE1
Excuse me, but why aren't we supposed to compare this headphone to the HD600. Almost every single newly released headphone is often compared to the HD600, and it's for very good reasons, main one being the HD600 is super popular and very loved. It's okay to compare the 660s2 for example to the...- Nirvana Woman

Unveiled: Meet the HD 620S
Very interested to pick these up when they release, the price point is very doable. I'm just concerned about the longer term comfort with these, I don't have the best experience with that style of earpads.- Nirvana Woman

Sennheiser HD599 - first impressions.
Not sure where the idea that there's two different sounding versions of these even comes from? As far as I know there is nothing to back this up except someone just saying it. The ivory and black versions are supposed to sound the same as well. But I think these are nice headphones, very cool...- Nirvana Woman

The HD558 is one of those headphones that even when you're not specifically listening to music, some soundtrack might randomly come up in a show or whatever and you catch yourself thinking gosh that sounds so nice. And that is not something that goes without saying, even with expensive...- Nirvana Woman

Philips Fidelio X2?!
Yeah, I have a number of amps in my house. I also have a big vintage Marantz amp but none of them are useful for the Fidelios. If you have a decent computer output I would really recommend that, or if you like to use your phone it should also go very well. :headphones:- Nirvana Woman

Review by 'Nirvana Woman' on item 'Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro-80 Closed Studio Headphones'
I'll start with a strong statement: these might be a candidate for best headphone ever made. They have so much to offer it's pretty wild, but keep in mind that I'm reviewing these entirely as an audiophile headphone. I'm not pulling any punches, there will be no "it's pretty good for a closed...- Nirvana Woman

Sennheiser HD5699 'hybrid' (an HD560S with HD599 drivers)
Cool video, that's the first time I've had diffuse field explained to me. So basically any headphone with exceptional timbre you could assume is a diffuse field design? Those guys are serious headphone nerds lol, love it. I think Sennheiser has been really exciting in the last five years, it...- Nirvana Woman

Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee Review & Measurements
Yeah, still two more weeks. I have seriously considered it and honestly am considering the unthinkable more and more  the money might be better spent on trying out an HD660S2 when they drop in price a bit, idk! I was just playing Mass Effect 3 and when I fire the black widow on my...- Nirvana Woman

Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee Review & Measurements
That's how I'm feeling too at the moment. I've owned the HD560S for two weeks now and I'm just not getting "it". I've read from a number of people that these need time to grow on you, so I'm hoping that may still happen for me as well. As it stands I find the 58X's tuning much more to my liking...- Nirvana Woman

When do you go from 'enthusiast' or collector to 'hoarder'
I have about five or six, half of them (dt990, dt770, Fidelio X2) I don't really use anymore but I'm not wanting to sell them either. The need just isn't that great and even if i sell them five years from now the value will probably still be about the same. I wouldn't consider myself a hoarder...- Nirvana Woman

Review by 'Nirvana Woman' on item 'Sennheiser HD 560S'
I'll be mainly comparing the 560S to the DT770. I think it's a good comparison for two reasons, first being they both cost about the same and aim for an analytical, balanced sound. The HD560S seems designed from the start to compete with Beyerdynamic's offerings like the DT770 and DT990, which...- Nirvana Woman

Philips Fidelio X2?!
They're a bit too heavy in the treble for me, but I think the subbass, midbass, lower and upper midrange are very well balanced. So I think they're a pretty good shot at neutrality. But what really sounds neutral still depends on each individual, not on the harman curve. Like, if you think the...- Nirvana Woman
