If you don't hear the discharge "tick" then the Bias hasn't flown through the diaphragm. Just needs some time to charge up in case the last time you forgot to discharge.

That "Weird Noise" is called "Squealing". It can happen if a minute dust particle enters the chamber. We had issues with that in early units but since have received feedback and have added an extra dust cover similar to ones found in classical Electrostatic assembly and have improved the overall...

Electrostatic drivers being limited by the displacement won't be able replicate that experience you had with the HE-500, which is known to be one of the finest Isodynamic headphone of its time. Just being honest.

Thank you, Sir. I wouldn't bother with the RR1 if you already have the L700.

To my knowledge very few people have swapped the pads on the RR1. One person had tried the ubiquitous Brainwavz and another one had installed SR-007 pads (EP-007). I can't comment on the acoustic impact but aesthetically the EP looked better. The stock RR1 pads have the thin profile and...

Sorry for the late response, have been behind schedule due to the passing of a close relative. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be making that adapter due to the low demand. Sorry!

KEMAR and I are finding it interesting that there's this "distortion" between 80-90dB but not above. I don't really think 200 hours is going to help, just get rid of the RR1 and use a better Headphone.

Sorry about that, been busy with business other than Headphones. Recently, we finished deliveries of the RR1 to our Bangkok group. A few customers sent over pictures of their setup. Setup 1 - RR1 w/ Glow Master, I do not know much about the Amp except that it is Ultra-Rare, only 2 made...

This weekend was a special day for me as I was able to meet Legendary Indian Singer and Music Director - Roop Kumar Rathod. One of his songs always meant a lot to me personally growing up. Showcasing the RR1 to him was one of my dreams. I was lucky enough to be invited to his beautiful house...

Whatever it may be, it is not acceptable and doesn't meet our goal of QC. I will have a word with our Engineer who assembled and measured your unit, the replacement will be assembled by me personally. Discharging has nothing to do with squeal, it's almost always dust related.

Well, that's no good. Looks like something fun happened in transit. If it's caused by the connectors as you mentioned in the Mail then it may not be driver related. Nevertheless, new unit should be on your way soon.

Unfortunately, that won't suffice as the Headphones require a Bias supply. Standalone supplies by STAX such as the SRD-7 PRO work just fine and then you'd be able to use it alongside your NAD.

Since the 353X has more power and if we consider the Fletcher-Munson effect. It is definitely going to sound better. How much of it is measurable and actual is probably negligible. Yes, the 353X can be grounded.

No but there are a few thing to keep in mind such as not listening in areas of high-humidity. This is self-explanatory for Electrostatic Headphones but is even more critical for the RR1. With the RR1, every single component is specific and novel to the design. The moisture control system of the...

Here are some more Customer photos - RR1 w/ KGSSHV Carbon A customer bought a 353X exclusively for the RR1 as his first E-Stat RR1 and 009 Also, our Bespoke customer. He unfortunately sent his RR1 back to us because the paint got nicked at one spot in shipping. It should be fixed...

The only thing pending is the Website but production and assembly has kept us extremely busy. At this time, I am only fulfilling private orders and that list domestically itself is pretty large. I understand that there's a balance to be kept but this is something we are still trying to improve...

Well, most of our current customers are domestic out of which only maybe 35% might be in the Audiophile community, others are industry professionals who are oblivious to Head-Fi. Our production is stronger than what it was and deliveries have started since last month, in fact we are going to be...

In fairness to STAX, the premature failure of that Headband might have been due to improper handling by the user. Plastic or not is irrelevant when it comes to Stress/Strain, the Headband was definitely torqued beyond it's Tensile Modulus. The thing to worry about any Thermoplastic is Polymer...

Wanted to share this, here's a one-off RR1 we made for a Customer through our Bespoke program. Some more updates - 1) Our Production is coming along, we will be taking orders through our website in a couple of months, again no date yet. As mentioned before, it's hard to...

The DTM1K was a design I made 8 years ago, it used Beyerdynamic DT150 Drivers. It's not a new Headphone, in fact it's pretty terrible. No new Headphones right now, the production and QC of the RR1 is my priority right now. I'm not interested in the concept of launching new Headphones with...

Quite basic - Chord Mojo and iBasso DX150. Oh no man, lol. The XP1 is the RR1 test mule. Not a new product prototype.
