    Audio Technica ATH-L5000

Sure, the Utopia headphone's sound signature has thicker imaging while sacrificing some scale of the sound stage. It's frequency distribution is more pyramid shaped compared to L5000, more emphasis on the lows and less extended on the highs. L5000 is quite the opposite, the sound imaging is...

MICROZOTL2 Tube Headphone Amp and preamp: a breakthrough device

Looking forward to your impressions. To me Joule v5 is warmer while illuminati is ultimately transparent exposing more nuance and details.  Also I am interested in how are 18ECCs compared to 7062s?

    MicroZOTL2 Upgrade Discovery Thread.....

Great review, I share a lot of impressions you had. I am curious what's your take on HE1000 vs Utopia? I am guessing that you are using after market cables for them cuz Utopia come with 1/4" instead of 4pin XLR.

HE1000 V2 and EDX V2 Are Coming Soon

Thanks for the explanation, I guess I don't usually regard headphones as investments or trade them that often so I failed to realize this.

HE1000 V2 and EDX V2 Are Coming Soon

What's all the hates about? If you want upgrade service, call your headphone dealer they will contact HFM about it. If you only want the cable or pads they are available for purchase. If you want the upgrade for free try your luck in the free upgrade program. If you don't think it will worth it...

    Breaking News: HE1000 V2

Startup headphone companies are having similar issues, quality control, supply issue, rapid versioning, etc. That's more in the nature of how their business model works, you get less "mature" products from them compared to big companies (Sony, Pioneer etc.) or companies that been in the market...

    MicroZOTL2 Upgrade Discovery Thread.....

Had some more comparison between Joule V5 and Illuminati. When I got Joule V5 I thought this is already so good that I wonder what else can be improved. It becomes easy to answer that question after I used Illuminati for a while and then went back to Joule V5. I certainly see why Dr.Blue is so...

HE1000 V2 and EDX V2 Are Coming Soon

The chamber size and earpad change are of course not for "aesthetic and ergonomic". Along with the cable change it has the potential of sounding differently IMO. Doesn't have to be a major driver change for it to sound differently. (Like HD800 vs HD800s)

MrSpeakers ETHER Flow and ETHER C Flow -- Inspired by Electrostatic Headphones

Found Currawong's review very helpful as I share the same impressions on HE1000s, 009s and Grados. Still waiting on more trusted source for comparison between HE1000 V2 and Ether Flow from the Hong Kong show.

MICROZOTL2 Tube Headphone Amp and preamp: a breakthrough device

Makes perfect sense, and not to mention the original microzotl also have all of the three functionalities.    But what I really hope is the next "pre-amp with headphone out" from LTA, which mentioned before in the post, to be a "headphone amp with pre out", or at least we can choose between...

MICROZOTL2 Tube Headphone Amp and preamp: a breakthrough device

Daydream of today - what if a cost no object zotl technology headphone amp? The TOTL headphone amp (non electrostatic) market has quite limited choices, SS amps stops around $4000 I believe? Over that price point we've got some tube amps that use expensive and hard to source transformers and...

MICROZOTL2 Tube Headphone Amp and preamp: a breakthrough device

Got my LTALPS! Listening to it right now, will spend some more time on comparison, but IMO it's a no brainer to get one, especially for those who thought their headphones sounded a little bit bright with the stock power supply.
