This is why I tend to have a really hard time talking about IEMs with other folks - I know for a fact that my ear canals not only don't match many, many other peoples' canals, they don't even match each other. A lot of IEMs are treble -harsh to my right ear, but treble-light to my left. I think...

I really want to try some of these custom ones. I suspect they'd resolve one of the issues I have with a lot of IEMs: my ear canals are two fairly different diameters.

I'm curious: what tips are you using on the IE600? SpinFit?

I can't speak to the other chain, but I can tell you that the C9, while it sounds really good, is quite a pain to live with. Its recharging/grounding circuitry is pretty convoluted, and if you don't use it often enough, you'll need to replace all the batteries every time you want to turn it on...

The Verite Closed is my favorite ZMF closed back, but the Eikon is also awesome. However, if you're just looking for a great closed back and don't mind if it isn't ZMF, try the Focal Radiance or the DCA Aeon Noire. I really love both of those headphones, although they have very different tuning...

There's a CanJam London thread, too 🙂 I Believe ZMF attends every CanJam, but I may be mistaken. If they're there, see if you can try the Atrium on a WA23 amp. I love that combo.
