Trifecta Thummim XE6 Trifecta so so fun feels like dynamic driver whip cream over my Jaco Geddy swirl pudding. Thummim with C9 amplification double bass moves my noggin towards living inside the instrument. XE6 all rounder for me with a bass focus.

At CJNY Musicteck had the MEST demo with a switch to turn off and on the BCD. Wonder if anyone else played with it. It was an opportunity to hear for yourself with that IEM if you could hear a difference and how big a difference. Unfortunately it was noise filled space and lots of distraction...

Last IEM I bought was the F5 at the end of CJNY this year, still love that one. Just watched your video on diminishing returns, nice work, to me the F5 at 1K is where the mark is, needed to spend 1K to get separation, timbre, and a satisfying ratio of frequencies, to my ears anyway. Think you...

Great job with the frame Rock @Rockwell75. Sorry about my absence as of the past many months. My studio is just about complete and I have been fully immersed in making stuff, Tidal streaming and 2 channel sound. The building rocks. The amount of new music discoveries along with many goosebumps...

Try this, blank card, one album, copy each track one at a time in the order you want them to play in, wait till track is finished downloading before starting the next one. Choose an album that does not play sequenced the way you want the first time. That will see if the save order is at work.

Thinking out loud this morning about preferred tunings and profiles, (perhaps opening a can of worms). If there is an Asian tuning I think it is an Asian Consumer market tuning, if that is true then there must be a Western Consumer market tuning. Western being boom box type bass, Asian being...

Me too, except my oldest files start out in the early 1950s since I started being crazy about jazz in the early 70s. All my music is FLAC all digital no streaming nothing analog left. In the car I have a microSD 1TB which fits everything. On the DAPs I am more selective. Still not convinced I...

Sound profile is minor in comparison to an open back cup vs an ear hole insertion. The idea that an IEM and a headphone can sound the same is just nonsense to me, while we are at it let’s find an IEM that sounds like a 2 channel system, or matches what I hear in my car, or a club. Placing...

I am a fan of the F5, in a world of IEMs that call attention to themselves this one does not. The DD bass is probably the best part, really well done, there when it is needed and stays where it belongs otherwise. Treble is nice with the planar. The weak spot is the mids which are BA fine...

Nicely said. There are several IEMs on listening to them, aware of the great love, that I thought something was wrong with me, since they did not resonate with me. Those I can explain, just as differing preferences, that is at the root of why I did not enjoy them, though I could still...

Yep. It was my BAE for 8 months which is longer than most. For me anyway. That emotional tug is key to its success. At first it’s like nope this is just not right, but something, I better have another listen…

The other factor is people have voted in some cases for a set they do not own. They are intrigued though have not lived with what they voted for. Not that this is wrong, though it may be wishful thinking. One of the things that always surprises me is the speed that some of us churn through sets.

You and Twister may have some inside information. Is blood thicker than water? Whatever is at work here; an older brother giving his brothers a start or dysfunctional stuff, at the end of the day, we all benefited nicely. FiR is appealing to many of us and 64 Audio holds a strong position as...

The open dynamic driver on the FiR XE6 that faces into your ear along with the small pressure relief vent are likely the culprit to the leakage where outside noises get in. I noticed this when I listened to the XE6 while in public places, if you go custom then you may diminish the leakage...

Alex great review. It does sound the way you described Rn6 to solve an issue many had with XE6 too much low bass to low mid, matching low mid level to the bass energy level, and maybe even with KR5 being to bright. For me I enjoy the twist that XE6 has over other sets in the uniqueness of those...

For me it is XE6 first and when I heard Rn6 I missed the XE6. Too the later sailing reference if only it were that easy. On a similar note, pizza! Need I say more? We went to a pizza shop Thursday night that new friends love, rated 8.5 out of 10 by a website college kids use, a now wealthy...

The best way to describe F5 for me is it calls no attention to itself. To add to that fit is light, I could lay on my ear and fall asleep with these in, the cable does not distract from the comfort in any way, zero pressure issues. This to me is music first listening, nothing stands out, bass...

At a wedding in Maryland one of my nephews. Catching up with some people I have not seen in a very long time. Happy days, these two have been together for ten years, started their journey together as sophomores in high school.

There are a couple kinds of Audiofiles, one is the reference rasp, used to remove large chunks of music quickly. “Never mind”
