The best way I have found is to increase the bottom end, effectively raising the ratio of bass to treble thus making the headphones "darker" sounding.

I was using an iFi xCan with the WP900, however I didn't feel it needed either the Xbass or XSpace to be honest.

I have mine specifically for travel and I love them for that, they are very light and compact. That said, I have recently been playing around with IEMs for travel as I try to travel as minimal as possible, so mine are up for sale. I personally really enjoy the tuning and they look awesome.
