Has anyone heard improvements or drawbacks through the various firmware for wm1am2? I have a zx507 and zx1 before that, I usually notice a difference in sound between firmware with them. I would always stop updating when I really liked a firmware or saw posts about the latest firmware negatively...

I picked up the Campfire Andromeda Emerald Sea for half price from a local B&M. Burned in for 50 hours. The treble is about where I like, detailed, effortless, not splashy, touch of nice sparkle, sibilance is non-existant, there is a tiny bump somewhere in the upper mids which just gives vocals...

RS2 does not sound very good when I use it as USB dac to my PC. I will sell mine, my old Teac HAP90SD sounds better stand alone as well as in USB dac mode.

I ordered an Alessandro MS-2X. Previously had MS-Pro classic, the treble on that thing was nuts but I loved them while I had them. Interested to discover what the MS-2X will be like, should be a drastic departure from that old MS-Pro classic.

RS2x with F cushions is about as neutral a Grado can get short of a HP1000, will be very technically proficient and have excellent timbre but the sound stage and perhaps comfort will suffer with F cushions. Grado RS2X (F cushions)

Happened to me, the case is pushing in one of the volume buttons causing the RS2 to boot into firmware update mode. Just take it out of the case will fix the problem, and massage the leather case a bit so it is softer over the button area.

So I'm listening to the Momentum 4 and comparing to PX7 s2, they are like complete opposites, the M4 emphasize sub bass while PX7 mid bass, the M4 emphasize upper mids and the PX7 lower mids, M4 emphasize lower treble and PX7 upper treble. I like bits of both and neither are really my preferred...

Has anyone here tried the Sennheiser momentum wireless 4? I know its not in the same league but curious how it compares to the PX8 anyway. One of the trusted reviewers here in Australia tells me he thinks they sound better than the PX7 s2 due to being more neutral. I consider them the value king...

I think non android daps aren't anywhere near as popular, when there is daps like DX170 available it is clear which the majority will flock to, although I'd wager most would be captivated by the sound of the RS2 if they gave it a chance.

So got the rs2 today, anyone else hear rattling when they shake it even lightly? Sounds like the battery is loose in there instead of secured with adhesive, I don't like that.

Keep in mind that from the internal photo we can see large electrolytic capacitors on the output which means that RS2 will need 200 hours burn in before you can form opinions. They are Elna Silmic II capacitors, Hiby also use them in R8. Luckily they are my favorite electrolytic capacitors...

AD4625 is a good choice, one of the best, all my favorite op amps come from Analog devices, AD4627, AD827, AD8066, AD797, AD8620.
