wa33 standard with abyss is fantastic. Sure the wa33 elite is even better. But make no mistake, wa33 standard is a fantastic amp as well and can bring about some incredible sound quality.- Darkliner

Hugo M Scaler by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
I am considering to use an src dx before mscaler. I currently am using a innous phoenix reclocker going into mscaler. I am not sure if the bnc inputs on the mscaler are superior to its usb input. Can anyone with a similar dilemma chime in here? I am considering either getting an src dx or...- Darkliner

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
For those who use opto dx and src dx along with mscaler and dave. What is your config like? 1. Do you use src dx into opto dx into m scaler and m scaler bnc connection to dave? 2. Do you use src dx into mscaler and m scaler into opto dx to dave? I wonder in such a scenario if option 1 or 2...- Darkliner

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
Do you people recommend using the better set of rca cables from dave to amp or from mscaler to dave? Im using rca cables and will attach (rca to bnc) connectors for use with mscaler and dave. I usually believe in using the better set of cables closer to the source components and in this case...- Darkliner

From first impressions, I would say sure. Diminishing returns surely apply here. But with anything in high end audio we are chasing that last few percent. Its really hard to quantify certain cost to performance increases at this level. 😎- Darkliner

I just received my wa33 jps elite amp today, All I can say the emotional enjoyment of the music has greatly increased over the standard edition. Unfortunately, one of my kr 2a3s died upon the amp change and I went back to using the stock electric harmonix 2a3. Despite this, the sound is still...- Darkliner

There are other dac options out there. Are you able to audition other brands? For me, personally i would go out there and audition as many dac/amps as possible. Let your ears decide what sounds good.- Darkliner

I use rca connection to the wa33 from the dave. I tested both the xlr and rca connections using the same grade of cable awhile back. I preferred the rca connection as it offered me greater transparency.- Darkliner

Hello! I use wa33 with abyss phi tc headphones. My favourite tube combination is KR-Audio 274b and KR-Audio 2a3s along with 645 Electro Harmonix. I feel tak 274b is very good too having used it in my system before. But with abyss headphones using full KR combination is better sounding for me.- Darkliner
