I should be able to make it. I plan on bringing my HD800s (I know ANOTHER pair lol), Audio-GD NFB1-AMP, and Modi 2U as well as an Oppo HA-2 and AKG K550s with Alpha Pads. Was bummed that I missed the last one so I'm looking forward to this! :)

I had a great time! My favorite was also the HD800s through the Violectric V281, absolutely blew me away! Also really liked the modded pair of HE-6s since they're so different from my HD800s. Seeing how different headphones measured was also really interesting!

I've found that the bass does sound slightly more punchy out of my FiiO E10 than my phone. The biggest improvement in the bass for me came from changing to the Alpha Pads thanks to their improved seal.

I'm excited to try them out! Most closed cans can be a little bit of a let down. Although, ever since I got some Alpha Pads for my K550s they sound much more open (almost as good as my HD650s) and the bass is very much improved.

They required a little bit of stretching but they went on quite easily.

I agree they are quite unwieldy for portable use. I was satisfied with the bass before as well but with the new pads they are even better.

Just got some Alpha Pads for my K550s today!   (sorry for the terrible picture quality)   The K550s are pretty controversial thanks to their seal issues for some. I personally didn't have too much trouble, but the seal was definitely finicky with me having to adjust the headphones...
