    The Qudelix-5K thread

Crap. From the forum post this may not be the best performance. Oh well. If it’s a step up from the ES100 with true 10 band parametric eq in that form factor, it’s absolutely worth the price of admission.

ORA GrapheneQ - The world's first Graphene driver headphone

BRUTE FORCE MOAR CABLE RAHHHH But seriously, the engineers behind this are both high caliber and kind of new to scaled production. I don’t doubt that whatever they used met the needs for performance and cost. At the end of the day, their efficiency is on performance in more ways than one ;-)

    DROP + THX Panda Announcement

That's not a firmware upgrade for headphones. While these have a chipset with DSP capacity and they can implement some EQ tuning functionality, a transparency function requires external microphones embedded in the earcups to pick up the outside noise before playing it back mixed in with the...

ORA GrapheneQ - The world's first Graphene driver headphone

Here's a great track with heavy amounts of sub-bass. I recommend using Tidal or the highest quality streaming service you have though: Same with this one, when the bass drops, it's AWESOME And one for the road: By the end of those 3, there will be no doubt these handle copious amounts...

ORA GrapheneQ - The world's first Graphene driver headphone

Bass extension issue? I’m hearing what sounds like outstanding extension in the sub bass region with no drop off like is commonly found in dynamic drivers. I listen to primarily EDM which is a sub bass heavy genre. That’s my subjective experience. Objectively, the measurements reflect...

ORA GrapheneQ - The world's first Graphene driver headphone

The exaggerated Harman-esque curve on these is not what I’d personally use for production. I’d say that you should really consider the Neumann headphones for studio production, which will work with zero DSP. I like the ORA but without a specific Harman or studio target and DSP/EQ, these are not...

Reveal Plugins - DSP for Audeze Headphones.

Sure, desktop is easy but for on the go with iOS, you basically either need a player like VOX or ROON or a device like the Quidelix 5k that can apply a parametric EQ

What are the deepest inserting / best isolating truly wireless earphones?

Etymotic is class leading isolation. The only IEM comparison made online is a BA based CIEM. Dynamic drivers require a vent in the shell for pressure release. Most true wireless are a single DD for power reasons. There’s not a lot of battery to go around. If you could find an all BA design and...

I posted that, actually. I don’t hear noise and agree that the Mobius is much noisier. Lol, actually the Mobius was worse at launch and I was the one who sounded off in a way about it that I became the test subject for the fix. Was a pretty cool way to meet the team there.

Yeah so back and fourth between the iPhone and wireless some more: I’m really curious to try these things out of a higher quality amp. I’ll bust out my Audeze Deckard tomorrow and give a spin.

ORA GrapheneQ - The world's first Graphene driver headphone

Couple new thoughts: 1: I tried wireless again and really like how they work in that mode. I actually find the presence to be a little subdued while keeping a lot of the great stuff the wired thing does so well. Including the bass 2: been A/B testing against my Mobius in HiRes mode and am...

Greatly prefer wired over wireless. I really can’t get over how much I like them direct out of my phone. Acoustically, with no DSP. Like I said, this tuning is very much up my alley. I am also really enjoying the efficiency. I don’t think these are going to regularly leave the house but I can...

Very much agree with this in my first impressions. They very much sound exactly like what the measurements suggest and it’s right up my alley. I can understand many audiophile being turned off, it’s a more bass averse community. That said, I do think they nailed their take on Harman and it’s...

@WillBright per the above, let’s say it’s 3 years down the line and the battery is giving way on the THX portable cans. It would be really nice if we could send them back for a pretty nominal battery fee. Alternatively, if that’s too much an operational load, maybe have authorized electronic...
