yeah i think a faraday cage is the best bet. But for me i thought i was getting interference in my amp, but it was actually the tubes burning in. they sounded crackly after putting a new power tubes, then mellowed out after a week or two.

it says that on the paper manual that it comes with. But i could be totally misinterpreting what that means. The line out is the main output right? what I meant by the headphone out cable was that i was connecting this to the line out and then to my amp.

I suggest using the Songbird application, as it can play .flac natively and preserves the meta data. Thats what i resorted to since transcoding became a pain in the ass.

hmm that was what i was thinking, probably get the 0404 then when i get more money i can always get the fubar II or a dac that takes optical in. but its still a tough choice... plus the 0404 is cheaper...

bump, I am in the same predicament, fubar II or emu 0404, which one is a better choice?

okae so i connected everything except the pot and the map works but sound ugly when i put the sound on the iriver past 20 40 is the highest... how do i fix this? does the pot fix it? how do i wire the pot to the jacks and then to the board?

okae so the ground wire attaches itself to one of the holes in the ground column? Got it... Now the diagram on the link shows the left channel a little distorted... is that line connected to the ground wires or no? Do I also ground teh wires from the audio jacks? Thanks for the help...

yeah i am using the panasonic pot... and the radioshack jacks that are clear on the top, they show which tips touch the right left and ground... but where do i connect the ground that comes out of the panasonic pot and are the left connected and... is the ground connected to two points on the...

okae i got everything on the pvb connected, but... i don't know how to connect my pot and audio jack... any help? i've looked at schematics, but they just confuse me more...
