Craig, For what it's worth, you may want to adjust the holes or finish on the wooden slider.  I've only adjusted it ~20 times tops since Monday night and it's really abrading the jacket of the wire (taking off slices).  Any suggestions on how to resolve that?  oil?  remove the slider?  ...
