I also use UAPP with the M6U, yeah its great. Which UAPP paid add ons are particularly worth it? I've mostly been using the player in bit-perfect mode (when possible) with no EQ or anything else. And very happy with the un-EQ'd Shanling house sound. That said I am curious.

I cant campare to other universals, but compared to my Etymotics, theres much less isolation. So when I last flew I stuck with Etymotics, with foam tips.

I'm extremely happy with the Shanling M6U and u12t... the M3U is cheaper and also reportedly very good... both with warm sound

I use Etymotic with grey foam tips on planes. As I guess you know as a former owner, they isolate just about as well as full fledged earplugs.
