After about 10 years of use, my old ER4P's cable had given out about 3-4 years ago and I haven't touched them since. I finally have the 2pin-MMCX connectors and a replacement cable arriving tonight. Haven't been this excited in a while. =)

If I feel that QC Ultras sound signature is similar to HD650, what bluetooth earbuds can I try to get the sound signature similar to HD600 in $250-$300 range?

i rated the sound of cowon d2 over any ipods that ive had in the past.  then i got a dx50 and i rate it several levels above d2.  when paired with pico/predator, the sound is absolutely amazing. 

ive used many ipods and other dap's but never tried rockbox.    could anyone briefly explain the advantages (and disadvantages if exist) of rockbox?   my dx50 is running on 1.2.8., and i like the sound and it has been working without any flaws.  i dont use the playlists or anything like that. 

i'm using dx50 with headpico pico (not slim or power) and rs predator.  comparing to dx50's headphone out, using either of those two with its line-out takes the sound quality to another level (i favor pico over predator).     i am listening via sennheiser hd600 and er4p/s.  i really did not...

i still love cowon d2.  it's compact, easy to use, and still brings out better sound than most other mp3 players do out there imo.  it'll be used with my car stereo full time now.

turns out, like someone mentioned previously, that my 64gb micro sd card was defective.  i guess that shoulve been expected with a 64gb card that cost $18.  i picked up a sandisk 64gb card today, and it works fine with dx50.  the unit is working without any flaws so far. 

yep. i will 1. format the micro sd card. 2. reinstall 1.2.8 + factory reset.  will let you guys know. thank you for your help.
