Single ended, yes. They would blow just being powered on, all it takes is that momentary short of the TRS being pulled/inserted.

Yeah I learned the hard way on that one. Need to replace the output devices I believe, not that hard, just need to find someone with a de-solder station.

Okay. Missed the part about using the higher resistance output resistors. If using default .47 ohm resistors my statement stands.

The TRS shorts signal to ground when plugged/unplugged. If you like replacing MOSFETs go ahead and do it with the power on.

I wonder why a Honda Civic drives just fine with a canoe on the roof, but doesn't seem to pull a 35ft powerboat very well. The canoe only cost $500 vs $300K for the power boat. I don't get it, the canoe was cheaper.
