1MORE H1707 Triple-Driver Over Ear
If it is from the cup, it can be the glass being a bit loose and hitting the metal "rim". You can put a little bit of foam between them or tape. In my case, just tightening the screws fixed this. Later in my experimentation, I replaced the glass with a thing PC gaming mouse pad I cut in circles...- tussinette

1MORE H1707 Triple-Driver Over Ear
I bought several brainwavz pads and tried them with these headphones (standart, suede, XL...). I did not have too much clamping issues but I had pressure building in the right ear cup. Also, the sound was not to my taste.- tussinette

How can I buy Modhouseaudio mods from Europe?
The "company" is just one guy and his wife if I understood correctly. He must be pretty busy. I have two pair of headphones in the pipes... Good things take time.- tussinette

1MORE H1707 Triple-Driver Over Ear
I did and it does not sound good. I then replaced the glass with 2 layers of a thin computer mouse pad I had laying around and I really like that.- tussinette

1MORE H1707 Triple-Driver Over Ear
There is a way to make the 100mm or even the 105mm fit with some "plumber" foam tape. But without that, 90mm is the biggest you should go with.- tussinette

1MORE H1707 Triple-Driver Over Ear
I cannot judge the sound compared to the original ones as I could never directly AB. I loved the original sound but then I started the pads swapping for comfort but was never happy with the sound. I like the sound with these pads. It is very V-shaped. I would say "Sony like" but more treble. The...- tussinette

How can I buy Modhouseaudio mods from Europe?
Great news: modhouseaudio is fine. I was afraid to purchase a mod before reaching them because I am outside of the US but it is the way to do. I can close this thread now.- tussinette

Less sibilant headphones you know...
I am now hesitating between the Sony's (I heard that the model w is slightly better whatever that means...) and the Denon (5200 or 7200). The price difference between the Denons is negligeable where I live. The Sony's are about 25% cheaper. Which way would you go?- tussinette

HELP: meze 99 noir OR dekoni blue OR 177x go OR HD6XX OR K371 ???
Hi, I am looking for rolled off treble headphones for long listening session (listen while working). Something forgiving for poor recordings and laid back. Does anyone have experience with these? I know only the Meze 99 Classic. Which ones from these 3 would have the most rolled off treble and...- tussinette

Reco: Dark headphones with cable only on one side (open and close)
I love the 99 but I really care about practicality and the 99 as well as the Audioquest Nighthawk and Nightowl have a cable coming out of both cups due to the suspended design. I ordered the Dekoni blue... I am curious if they will do sound wise and isolation wise as they are semi-open. As I...- tussinette

Reco: Dark headphones with cable only on one side (open and close)
Being very sensible to treble (sibilance and sharp hi-hats) I am looking for dark sounding headphones... BUT (of course... :disappointed:) I cannot stand headphones with a cable on both side, it just drives me mad... (otherwise my life would be easier I guess, with the Sennheiser HD600 or...- tussinette

Headphones for chill listening
The Denons were recommended to me several times already. How do they sit on the head -are they stable- and how is the clamp? Does anyone know if the Zen Dac can run these and if the sound signature does not get too warm then?- tussinette

Headphones for chill listening
I tried the LCD2C and I absolutely loooved them. I am not in the market for open headphones, otherwise it would be between these and the HD600 for me. But I have my beloved Sony freaks and they fully satisfy my "cocktail jazz" moods :xf_cool:- tussinette

I need closed-back so I highly consider the shr1540. I never tried the open shr1840. But for opened chill headphones there are the HD6xx/650 or HD600.- tussinette

Headphones for chill listening
Hi! At 900 USD you will have tones of options. My favorite pair to do this are the Sony MDR-MA900. They are not so appreciated because they do not work well with amps. They are very strange headphones actually :) They are so light and so "open" that I completely forget them after a few...- tussinette

Reco: Closed-back equivalent to Sony MA900?
Hi, The Sony MA900 are not so well known. There is a good reason for this: these headphones are not at all for "enthusiasts". The better the amp, the worse they will sound... There is a technical reason for this: very low impedance and a resistance was used in the circuit -if I remember...- tussinette
