Switched to low gain but am still hearing the noise, but the SQ is glorious!

On SE i don't seem to hear it. ( Via my UERR CIEMs ) On the balanced out, there seems to be electrical interference, much akin to that of a noisy USB port.

Haven't tried SE. will do so in abit.

Got my hands on the N6II. Does anyone notice a hiss (somewhat like a slight background noise) on streaming services like Tidal + Qobuz? When stopping / pausing a track the hissing will persist for perhaps 2 seconds and then disappear. Other than that, all seems great so far. Listening on...

Just got it in the mail! Paired with my Denafrips Terminator ( balanced ) - sounds excellent with either the Audio Technica ADX5000 or ZMF Eikon. Just the amp to show that price is often not commensurate with performance.

I have the niceHCK Dz7 hybrid. It’s - to my ears - an abject failure. The bass is non existent with a thin and reedy sounding midrange ( sucked out ). The only redeeming factor that I can think of is that it has a nice enough treble with enough extensive and it’s pretty damn comfortable To wear.

I was reading through the thread and am of the understanding that one can directly use the 6SN7 tubes in place of the 6SL7 tubes without any modification? (This is for the MKIV). 

I guess the question now is - is it really worth the moolah to upgrade the W500 to the W900?
