Very good ,I pop in from time to time to checkout stuff .Settled down quite a bit tube and ampwise . Kinda into gaming these days ,and Ebiking never a dull moment .Hopefully will start seeing the grandkids more till end of summer when fully vaccinated Hope all is well for you to .Take care .

Have you switched over driver tubes to see if imbalance follows from one side to other side and same for power tubes if drivers are not the problem.If you have another pair to try to see if amp is problem or tubes

Today tried the SP 274B in the WA22 .Everything looks normal

The other day i spoke about a Sophia Princess 274B that had a abnormal glow to it seemed to bright .Well today i checked it out and glass was somewhat cloudy so pretty sure its done .The other Sophia i have glass is clear.

Ya filament got way brighter than usual scary lol.Should check it up close.

Most of my adapters were made by that seller and a few others . In general they work good .i try to buy adapters that use the CMC sockets ,better quality .

Look closely at the pictures you cant go wrong pins are reversed

.If the tubes are tested and seller has good ratings go for it .Remember they dont need to be matched pairs so dont pay extra for this . As for any difference in sound i wouldnt know about the rocket branded 6ZHiP-EV i know the ones i had to me sounded very clean but again like Gibosi would...

I would try Electro harmonix 6H30Pi as power tubes and a pair of Russian Voskhod 6ZHiP-EV should clear things up .

The last setup i had with my MK3 was 6sn7 as power tubes with adapter 6sn7 to 6cg7 adapters and C3G as driver tubes with adapters C3G to 6AK5

Seller tested them ? i would clean the pins should be ok .

To clean pins i always use a fine grit sandpaper it will remove all the grime .One piece of advice you probably saw this before if you read the thread .Ounce you insert C3G tubes in there adapters i would leave them in there because they are very fragile ,also dont wiggle them when inserting...

Loosen the scew for the knob ,remove knob you will see this hex nut this is what is preventing you from removing the pot disconnect plug and remove it .be extra careful with the pot wires they are very fragile
