    Creative SoundBlasterX AE-9

I still have to listen to the AE-9 to finally compare it. i'll answer your question as well, soon enough :) Right now all I can tell that AE-9 has less bass control compared to my STX II.

    Creative SoundBlasterX AE-9

Got my AE-9. I promised some comparing so here goes. I might change my mind as I need to keep listening, but AE-9 sounds pretty much the same as ZXR. Right now, the sound of the STX II sound the best. BUT, I will keep updating. Edit #1: Alrighty, here's the deal: I feel that AE-9 is more...

K702 vs HD600 - The most detailed cans?

Interesting. I know by now that those two are very different sounding. the HD 600 suppose to be warmer, and detailed on it's low freq, and K701/2 on their highes.

    What computer speakers to get?

Yep, saw it too. but this is not the whole line of Microlab. my recommendations goes for SOLO 6C, SOLO7C (I have both). SOLO 8C and 9C supposed to be better, but word is they sound less good compares to the older SOLO 6C/7C.

    What computer speakers to get?

They are VERY accurate, and details oriented. let's say that: I've heard some bigger and pricier setups that didn't do what these can do.

    What computer speakers to get?

You would really like to try the SOLO series of Microlab. those are a very amazing speakers--or should I call them: fun monitors. I don't think they are selling on USA, but they are very known in europe.

    EVGA Nu Audio soundcard

That card makes me really intersted. atm I'm using Xonar STX II @ stock opamps. Waiting for another comparative reviews. but I doubt it can sound better than STX II.

AKG K702 AMP-DAC instead of STX II

So, after many years i've got back my AKG K7xx. I've been missing their amazing sound (still burning in). But unfortunetly, I can tell that my ASUS Xonar STX II is unable to amp those cans well. I'm looking for a good DAC-AMP. my budget is about 200$. I've been looking on the Magni 3 but i've...

    the most detailed headphones

Thank you all so much for your opinions. Unfortunately, HD800 is beyond my budget. also, I can't seems to find a used ones in a reasonable price. Other headphones that are on the par of "the most detailed"?

    the most detailed headphones

I guess that's an option too. What DAC\AMP would you suggest of for detailed sound?

    the most detailed headphones

Not once I've read here that my STX (let alone STX II) is good enough, very good actually.

    the most detailed headphones

as I said: Source & Amp: ASUS Xonar Essence STX II.

    the most detailed headphones

Heya :) I'm looking for the most detailed and revealing headphones out there. My budget can go up to $1000 (for the most detailed headphones, I would save some money, whatever needed), so I can allow myself a very priced cans - but that doesn't mean to cut off less pricey headphones. Atm I'm...

    Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread

Those cans are magic. while I can't really point on a "3D feeling", the stage is huge and very detailed. As for now, some tracks are too bass heavy and sometimes "dirty" - I hope to see that changes during time. Out of the box: worst V-shape feeling. completely obscure. bass is uncontrolled and...

Just how much headphones can take?

Well. before I had those test, I was listening to my Beyers 990 with a decent volume, and I've got the right driver to fail (replaced by now). I've been told that "it could be out of high volume" but I never used them this way.

Can sound blaster zx, with an 600 ohms headphone output damage my HD 600 with 300 ohms

Yes. but not only - just keep the volume on a decent level.

Can sound blaster zx, with an 600 ohms headphone output damage my HD 600 with 300 ohms

The setting itself won't (if I correct), the full-volume that comes with it might.

Just how much headphones can take?

So, I would like to know: how much time a headphones can take in a *full-volume before they fry? *Full Volume: Vey, very extremely volume. In my case: full volume on 40ohm cans, through ASUS Xonar STX II on Extra High Gain (for 600ohm).
