Looking for IEM under $200
Nope, I have the standard EDC. Maybe I'm just used to a more extreme V-shaped sound profile? Idk haha! I mainly listen to my Beyerdynamic DT1770 on the SMSL M6 dac, boosting bass by ~4dbs and decreasing high trebles by ~4dbs. This is while using Dekoni Velour earpads, which push my ears further...- SikkNazty

Looking for IEM under $200
Well I guess the overwhelming recommendations for the IT01 here and the sound descriptions from reviews align nicely with what I'm looking for in an IEM. Plus it's half the price of my budget, so can't go too wrong with saving 50% of my money! I'll be ordering a pair of the IT01's in black...- SikkNazty

Looking for IEM under $200
Wow, I was reading up on the IT03 before your post which is sadly out of my price range. Idk how I didn't see a suggestion or related link to the IT01 when reading IT03 reviews. But the IT01 sounds very inviting to buy! I'm going to hopefully try and find some direct comparisons to the ones I...- SikkNazty

Dekoni Elite Velour Ear Pads for Beyerdynamic DT/T (Review)
Successfully got the Elite Velours onto my DT1770 Pro's. It took a good 45-60 min to get both ear-pads on because of the stitching around the velour lip that is supposed to slide into the ridge surrounding the ear-cups. It's quite a tight fit, but using a credit card or cardboard/cardstock of...- SikkNazty

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone
Thanks for the headsup! I'm sure the AKG cable will be plenty for me. I won't be using it portability too often but enough to warrant the choice of a closed back. I'll be using it mostly on my PC.- SikkNazty

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone
I have heard of the MMX 300, but I want a standalone headphone instead of a headset. I have a stand alone microphone now and would like a really nice pair of cans to pair it with the can accommodate gaming and music. I'm going to just assume the 1770 and 1990 have way better sound quality than...- SikkNazty

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions
What's the comfort level for these cans after 4-6 hours of listening time? Do your ears get sweaty, ears hurt from clamping force, etc.?- SikkNazty

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone
I'm just going to jut in here and ask if anyone has played games, specifically FPS, with the 1770 or 1990? I play a lot of CSGO and am looking for a headphone upgrade in the $600 range to replace my PC360 headset. Is the sound-stage substantially better on the 1990 than the 1770 (1990 being an...- SikkNazty

Upgrading from Fiio X5 (1st Gen)
So I'm looking to buy a new DAP. Currently I'm using the Fiio X5 (1st gen), which was my first venture into the audiophile universe. After looking around, I've "narrowed" my search down to the Onkyo DP-X1, Fiio X7, Pioneer XDP-100R, Astell & Kern AK120, and Astell & Kern AK Jr. I purely...- SikkNazty

REVIEW: Ostry KC06A - A New Winner
I plugged these into my external SoundBlaster X-Fi soundcard and they came ALIVE. They're damn good not amped, but the bass definitely needs a little boost for my musical tastes.- SikkNazty

REVIEW: Ostry KC06A - A New Winner
So I currently have the Monster Turbines and they're getting old and boring to me. Trebles aren't that nice but the bass is good on them. I've been looking at the Ostry KCO6A and based on reviews it seems like it would fit my musical taste perfectly. I listen to dubstep, drum & bass, rock...- SikkNazty

Sound Blaster X-Fi HD w/ SteelSeries Siberia V2
So I recently purchased a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi HD to pair with my Audio Technica ATH Pro700 MK2 and it works flawlessly. I use my cans to jam out in public (w/o the amp obviously) and also in my dorm while I'm producing. I also have a pair of SteelSeries Siberia V2's and I'm thinking...- SikkNazty

V-MODA Crossfade LP2 vs Audio Technica ATH-M50? Can't Decide help please!!
My friend has some crossfade lp2's and they're pretty nice. But don't let their looks deceive you. I had the same comparison a year from now and I ended up going with the AudioTechnica MK2. Wonderful bass and the treble is pretty good too! Very good for a budget set of cans.- SikkNazty
