NEW! NCredible N-tune by Monster unboxing video. Impressions to come

I had a chance to plug my Walkman into a NTune display a couple of weeks ago and decided to buy them on the spot.  I bought the white ones also.  These aren't fine detailed headphones, so I would really recommend these for picky listening, but they are an incredibly fun and engaging headphone. ...

Sennheiser MX 685 finding it's place in a crowded market

Hope they work for you.  Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.  The workout specific headphones section is pretty lean here, so It's good you stumbled on to this.  =)

    Apple EarPods Thread

I'm assuming he's talking about the case that the earpods come in when they are new.  It's quite form fitting.

    Apple EarPods Thread

Ya, for a 29 dollar earbud, or free with ipod touch, nano or iphone, they sure are a pretty solid value.  They will be those who won't try them just on principle.  It's like Bose.  Very volatile companies.  Some will hate and some will love no matter what kind of product is put out.  Personally...

    Exercise Earphones?

Not sure if you've found that earbud you're looking for, but first off do you mind if I ask what kind of player you use when workout?  I have done a review of the lamichael james sig series yurbuds:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOBRwPfrhg0   I couldn't disagree with the tinyman392 more...

    Sennheiser PX 685i

No.  I think they are all fairly cheap.  Very thin and easy to tear up.  I have had ones from Sony in the past and they seem to workout just fine.  There are some colored ones I tried in the past, can't remember who they were made by, but they were the worst.  They tore up just trying to get...

    Sennheiser PX 685i

Ya, I had gone through the same testing.  Tried all the different silicone tips that came with it, but in the end it was the foamie covers that did the trick.  The good thing is they are cheap, so you might ruin them every few runs, you can replace them for pretty darn cheap.  Small price to pay...

Budget Classical Music Headphone/IEM for 100$

Must be a personal preference thing.  I listen to classical music when I'm studying quite often actually.  After I read your post I decided to plug the px100ii and the px200ii in and sample.  The px100ii just doesn't do classical any justice.  You are right about the cellos delivering that deep...

    Yurbuds Limited Edition Sport Earphones

I discovered something last week about the tips. I was using large because I thought they would give me a better seal. They actually made them come a bit loose and I wasnt figuring out why. I put the medium noise isolating tips in and bam! Thats the fit. Perfect now they dont budge. Isolation is...

    Workout / Gym / Running

I got the dongle for use with my 6th generation ipod nano and it works great.  But looking back on it - I wish I hadn't spent the money.  But I really like the sound of my Jaybirds so I'll swith back and forth using them on my nano and my Walkman.

    Workout / Gym / Running

the Jaybird's are very dependant on keeping your device on the same side as the headphone receiver.  that should be on the right side.  That usually solves any problems.  And yes, I think an arm band is probably best.

    Workout / Gym / Running

Ya, based on what you're doing the jaybird Sportsband may not be for you.  Of the choices you talk about - I think the Senn PMX 680 is a great choice, but only if you don't lay down to lift weights.  I think a headphone that's not on your list that is a great choice is the Senn PX 685. ...

    SansaClip+ Rockbox Impressions thread

Ahh...ok.  I just haven't been able to get the mid range dialed in and it's getting me frustrated.  I get close but then it goes off to sounding like I'm listening to someone singing in a metal trash can.

Is Sansa Clip + really that good?!

Ya, even with the Denon AH D2000 will clip if the precut is on 0db and you REALLY crank the bass.  I tried my PK2's and it no clipping a little bass boost made mince meat out of them.  The Earpods can handle much more low end.

Is Sansa Clip + really that good?!

Ya when I start boosting the bass it will distort...quite easily with some songs.  But cranking that bass will put a roar in my HFI 780's like no other player I own.  I typically takes an amp to get in the same neighborhood.  I can't seem to get much out of the mid range though.  Unless I'm...

Is Sansa Clip + really that good?!

Well that rockbox is everything people say it is.  Really able to tweak the sound.  My HFI780's have never had just that deep bass brought out by just a player before.  I really wish the text was larger.  It's quite annoying to try to read that tiny little text.  Also, does anyone know how to...

Is Sansa Clip + really that good?!

Quote: I get to the part where you get ready to install bootloader and then I get the error that I need the .bin file.  I didn't think you had to have that .bin file in the auto loader?  If I have to get it, I haven't found that either.

Is Sansa Clip + really that good?!

Quote: It's in Mass Storage.  It's set to the E: drive.  So I set the rockbox to download there, but that's where it stops and gives me an error.

    Klipsch Image One Bluetooth?

If you buy them, please give us a review.  I have been looking around for a long time to see if I can find a decent review on the Bluetooth and the Image One II, but can't find anything.  I would really be more curios about the bluetooth personally, but I'm interested in how the new one compares...

Sennheiser MX 685 finding it's place in a crowded market

I think you would have no problem using these in the gym.  The fit, for me anyway, is very secure.  Like I said in the review though...my first run wasn't the best as far as fit goes.  My right ear needed some adjustment.  It's not an issue with the product...I think the inner part of my ear is...
