Best Gaming Headphones.... With Poll? BUDGET: £100-£250
Found a website where a reviewer said the HD600/325/HD570/HD590 sounded better then the F1's but added.. In fact, for movie watching or listening to binaural recordings, I would probably rate these as the best of the batch. And for those of you who don’t like the inside of the head effect...- kool bubba ice

Arizona Meet, Sept. 25,2010 Scottsdale, AZ
I never considered the new model DT48e to have liquid mids.. They sound a tad thick compared to the vintage models, is what I would recommend, even though the new model DT48e sound a bit more convetional compared to the vintage models. In short. The new models are not the best represenatives of... -
The Beyerdynamic DT48 Arrives...
Interesting.. The 950 possibly being more detailed then then the DT48..Wish you had the superior A model to compare the detail to.. 2 people liking the DT48 at the same meet is pretty impressive.. Every HD800 owner, besides one has found something to like about the DT48 in a comparable sense to...- kool bubba ice

Best Gaming Headphones.... With Poll? BUDGET: £100-£250
Last yr I read about a members experience playing COD 2 at a headfi meet, & he was blown away by the 3D type presentation. Think he used the 404. It was more like a biaural experience I believe he expressed.. Personally, I'm too invested in dynamics to go STAX, & really want the 4070 if I went...- kool bubba ice

HE-6 Loaner Program
This site has taught me a lot. I remember asking, if high ohm headphones are better then low ohm headphones when I first got here.. Looking back, it sounds silly. Quote:- kool bubba ice

The Beyerdynamic DT48 Arrives...
Please focus on the HD800 & LCD2.. I know you don't have the DT48A, but maybe you Can collaborate with Shamu concerning the HD800.. If you feel the DT48 actually betters any of the phones you listed.. Run from the huge flames behind you.. I can tell you what they will think. Expect audio...- kool bubba ice

Thank you.. That's a bit odd.. I think the majority feel the retail version needs to be more efficient. I'm not buying a headphone that requires a power amp to drive them to their full potential. I hope Fang takes our criticism to heart with honestly & not malice.... We are being honest to help...- kool bubba ice

Ebay question.. Possible problem.
He has 100% feedback. Over 300. He has yet to respond to my pm.. I c/p the tracking & asked if this was his correct address? If he just ends up giving me negative feedback he won't be getting his money. If he asks for as refund I will give it.. I did it once before, when the post office FUBARed...- kool bubba ice

For FPSers, the F1's easy.. No headphone under a grand will give you the speaker like spatial ability & imaging.. Just due to their design. Too bad they don't sound like 1,000 headphones. Quote:- kool bubba ice

Best Gaming Headphones.... With Poll? BUDGET: £100-£250
The K290 was AKG's surround headphone. Had 1 or 2 drivers in the front & back.. Great imaging & SQ.. The K280 has two drivers connected together side ways.. imaging is very visceral.. Excellent for gaming.. I owned a pair.. As your poll.. The DT880 just does it for me.. & I owned/heard...- kool bubba ice

The Beyerdynamic DT48 Arrives...
Thank you. I think it goes beyond the technology a bit, ableit, Ortho's do have a inherent advantage.I just wished I could have heard the HE6 really amped.. The Speed. Detail. Resolve. Separation. Really could have swung in the HE6 favor, but I had to review then with what I had.. I didn't...- kool bubba ice

The Beyerdynamic DT48 Arrives...
I read between 55-57.. The Wiki could be off since it's the same one that claims there is a 600 ohm version. (Can't click link to verify) I asked Beyer, & they told me no.. Maybe the original in 1937 was 600ohm. My theory. But none since. I was told the A version was from 51 or early 50's.. Of...- kool bubba ice

Vintage Beyer studio shootout (DT48 vs. DT480)
un listenable with certain recording.. That transparent & ruthless.. If you want the building blocks of how a studio effects the recordings the DT48 is probably tops in the Dynamic world.. Very detailed post.. Well said.. You should really try the a version.. They are a nice improvement.. I like the DT480.. So no ortho magic for you? I still remember the quote you sent me about the frenchmen who favored his DT48 over his HE60 for mids.. "More faithful" was the term he used.. I do believe in Ortho magic.. I'm just not a kool aid drinking supporter.. You should try the HE6..In a nut shell they made...- kool bubba ice
