MX-VNYL balanced phono stage and Music Hall Cruise Control both arrived. Running unbalanced to the phono stage and then balanced to Freya. Background is silent and everything sounds tighter.

I’m using Yggy —> Lyr 3 with a Tung-Sol 6F8G black glass square plate. I’ve also tried an old Sophia 6SN7. The TS 6F8G are my favorites in my WA22 but not sure about them with the Lyr 3. Maybe I’ll try a treasur globe. Would appreciate thoughts.

I tried that just now. It definitely helps keep the weight on but mine still falls off almost every time I move arm back to the left. Further, the pivot point ends up *much* higher than the stylus.

Are you sure about this? The Rag 1 preamp outs are only enabled when the speaker taps are enabled.
