help me decide on headphones
My advice is to go to a audio shop and try some with music you are familiar with. Only you know what you absolutely love and will put up with. For me they HAVE to be comfortable. If they are not...I won't reach for them. But go listen to multiple headphones and go from there. You said you...- Bern2

Bicycle-Fi!
With the criteria you provided, I would take a look at the Aventon Level 2. Comes in at 61 pounds and has a torque sensor. I have not personally test rode one. I have the Aventure, but that is more for dirt roads and trails. Post what you find, I'd like to get a pure commuter bike eventually.- Bern2

Sennheiser HD 630VB Review - First Impressions
Post your thoughts once you've had some time with them. They didn't have enough low end for me and they didn't handle EQ well at all in that area.- Bern2

Sennheiser HD820
Agree totally with you on this. It's not like you can swap out tubes and change your flavor. I have the HD800 and the Phonitor 2 as my main amp. I have been using Sonarworks to EQ the Senns...they handle it very well. I cannot listen to them if they are not EQ'd. What's ironic...is that I...- Bern2

AudioQuest NightHawk Impressions and Discussion Thread
The reason I got rid of the 600 was because of the low end. It just can't reproduce it to my liking. My only real complaint of it. Agree with all your rundown in regards to comfort...etc. Would have liked to seen the NightHawk developed further. When I moved, I had all headphones packed...- Bern2

Sennheiser HD 630VB Review - First Impressions
I sold mine to a gentleman here on the forums. I agree with you on the implementation,,,I just wish the crossover freq was a tad lower. They were not getting much use, so they ended up in the chopped pile. They are built like a tank. They did not handle low freq eq well as I would have liked...- Bern2

Why so many hd800 for sale if they're that good
My 2 cents. I use Sonarworks to EQ them..and they handle EQ very well. Without that I would not have kept them. With EQ..I think they sound great. Bern- Bern2

Sonarworks Headphone Calibration software
I think I got it on sale for 79. I'm using ref 3 for the HD800. I too tried various EQ's without success. I always have meant to send in the Sony Z1R's...but haven't done it yet. Right now I'm in the middle of a move (God only knows where at this point...I'm at my sisters waiting everything...- Bern2

My impression of HD600 vs HD800S (will better AMP/DAC change this?)
The lack of low end (even with EQ) was the reason I didn't keep the 600. I'm talking sub bass here. Ended up with an 800 (among others) and use Sonarworks to EQ those. Bern- Bern2

Was the HD 800 discontinued?
I went with HD800 and Sonarworks for the EQ'ing. HD800 handles EQing very well. Bern- Bern2

Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless - Impressions Thread
My only complaint about the P7W is comfort....haven't read (or noticed) anyone pad swapping with these. IMO much better sounding than my other bluetooth set (Sony MDR-1ABT)....but the Sony's win in comfort. (although I wouldn't consider them great in that dept.) Bern- Bern2
