Nuforce HEM Discussion & Impressions
Thank you for the advice. I've actually already read some reviews for the ES100 and Fiio BTR3, but I had my reservations due to all the bad rap that bluetooth has these days. I will have to make a decision next month probably: Type-C port vs much better app. I completely migrated to type-C in my...- geo2160

Nuforce HEM Discussion & Impressions
Well guys, I'm back and I've solved both my broken IEMs and my upgrade itch. Firstly, I decided to buy the HEM8 after having another listening session with the Fiio FA7. I did not think I would enjoy the FA7, with their elevated mid-bass and non-reference tuning. They look and feel amazing...- geo2160

They're 70-100 euro LESS than the FA7/HEM8, 240 euros to be precise. If they were 100 euros, I would have already ordered them :).- geo2160

Nuforce HEM Discussion & Impressions
I intend to go on saturday and listen again to the FA7, FH5 and other stuff that the store has on display (IE80s and CKR10). They also have the Sony XBA-N3AP in stock, but not on display unfortunately, so I can not test them. Do you have any opinions on them? They seem to have few, but stellar...- geo2160

Nuforce HEM Discussion & Impressions
Thank you both for the kind advice. Unfortunately, my HEM2s just broke down and I have no way to listen to music on my commute :frowning2:. Since that's usually the only time I get to enjoy music, I will probably need schedule another audition and choose something on the spot. I will let you...- geo2160

Portable DAC for phone vs DAP
Hello, I currently have a a pair of RHA MA750i IEMs and a Nexus 6p and I wish to improve my mobile experience. I have accepted the fact that the phones I tend to like will have bad DACs. Would it be a better idea to buy a small dedicated DAC/AMP like the Fiio K1 for the phone or would I be...- geo2160

Ibasso D2+ vs Fiio E10k
I want a new DAC+amp for my Ultrasone Pro 550's that I can connect to my PC I was eyeing the Fiio E10k, but I found a second-hand D2+ at a pretty good price (20 bucks lower than the E10k). From what I've gathered the D2+ uses the same DAC as the older E10, which sounds noticeably worse than the...- geo2160

Cheapo comfy headphones
I've just noticed that an online retailer from my country has brought a lot of Superlux models. Up until now I've heard a lot of good things about the 681 and 668b's. Which one of those in the list should I choose? I value comfort and noise isolation above all and I think I would prefer a more...- geo2160

Xonar DG and Dolby headphone
I just tried the dolby headphone option on my Xonar DG in Metro Last Light, in both 5.1 and 7.1 mode and it it didn't really seem to improve my experience. Besides, I don't like that echoey feel at all. Is there any way to get rid of it? I use a pair of Ultrasone Pro-550's and, considering...- geo2160

Ultrasone Fan Club! (Roll Call)
I'll try to stay away from trouble ;). The thing is, now I realise how uncomfortable they were. I really need to get myself a new headpad if they don't replace it with the one on the newer Pros.- geo2160

Ultrasone Fan Club! (Roll Call)
Well, maybe it's just my big head which caused the stress. I contacted ultrasone europe and they said they'll repair them free of charge. Talk about great support! Unfortunately, I'll have to get by with some crappy old drivers for a couple of weeks.- geo2160

Ultrasone Fan Club! (Roll Call)
Well, this is bull!@#$! This is how my proline 550's look after a little more than a month of careful use, only at the computer. Yes, those are all bits and pieces from the headband and no, I did not sit on them. The warranty representative told me that it looks like mechanical abuse and I can't...- geo2160

Ultrasone Fan Club! (Roll Call)
The older PROline, I already mentionat that in my post above. I doubt I'd be able to get the newer ones for that money. You have no idea how they are to get in my country, especially when you're on a tight budget like me. I've heard the changes are just cosmetic anyways. BTW, is it just me...- geo2160

Ultrasone Fan Club! (Roll Call)
Thanks for the advice. I tightened the screws a little, but it didn't help much. I guess the plastic will wear down in time and it won't creak as much. Do they have metal reinforcement on the inside?- geo2160

@HeatFan12: Thanks a lot! I also found out they have the DJ1 Pro's at 97 euros. Would they be a better choice than the HFI 650?- geo2160
