Home-Made IEMs
Second attempt. It won't go any deeper than this. Wasn't able to get all of the external ear either. Guess I'm getting that syringe after all. Another month.- duo8

Home-Made IEMs
So I messed up and ended up wasting half of the mold silicone. The syringe I used also had too short of a nozzle. I used 7g (each) here but next time I'll probably use 5g. I wanted to make a full ear impression (like what 64 audio would require) but it seems too difficult to do by myself. The...- duo8

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
They both measure the same as Xelastec. I might be able to try the APP Xelastec later today, see if it fits on the galaxy buds.- duo8

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Just picked up the Buds+. I remember crinacle mentioned the upper mids can get a bit hot, but I'm not feeling that, at all. In fact I feel the mids are a bit recessed. These are the only IEMs I've used recently that don't pierce my ears without sounding too dull.- duo8

Tri-brid IEMs and non-BA/non-DD technology
I've seen these new types of drivers for sale individually too. Wonder why there's suddenly an influx of new techs within the last few years. The drivers aren't expensive, except for the Sonion electrostats, which apparently has a built-in amp.- duo8

Official Sony WF-1000XM3 Thread - Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones
Try any other Sony tips if you have any. Speaking of tips, I've tried several sets on mine. The default silicone ones fit OK, not the most comfortable though. The triple comfort mediums won't fit my left ear, which is a shame because they do feel better. Sony silicone tips (the black type that...- duo8

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Me. I had it worse, bought an "open box" pair of WF-1000XM3 from ebay for $175 3 days before someone from here sells a lot of new units for $160 each. Mine arrived with scratches on the case.- duo8

Has Sony ever published official specs for the MH755? I think they have lower sensitivity than my GR07, I had to push the volume up a bit.- duo8

Just ordered a pair off taobao for $2.4 each. Mere months ago there were over 10 stores with these. Now only two still have the listing up, and only one actually has some (~100) in stock.- duo8

The Meizu adapters measure very well, I don't know why they're still only "potentially" good: https://www.0db.co.kr/index.php?mid=REVIEW_0DB&category=184&document_srl=1005449- duo8

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
I too am appreciative of how true-wireless-ness solves some of the biggest issues I had with wired IEMs, namely restricted movement (when not plugged into a portable source) and microphonics (microphonics alone significantly hampered my enjoyment of the FLC8S). Any Android device running 8.0+...- duo8
