I agree with all of the above, with the exception of speed. I found the 009S to sound faster, cleaner with better control. The only downside as oneguy mentioned is it does seem to have a smaller soundstage than the 009. I think the increased cost of the 009S is well justified.

Just auditioned the 009S with the T8000 at Yodobashi Akihabara. I wasn't expecting much, but it's a huge step up from the 009. It's friggin perfection. I was going to get the L700, that's now just an impossibility after listening to the 009S.

Have you considered placing some isolation feet underneath the Hugo 2? The airflow should help with any heat issues.

yes, Iso-regen is for USB. then just LPS 1.2 or JS-2 linear power supplies. I was impressed with the LPS 1.2, enough to order the JS-2.
