"Needless to say, I can't recommend " reading ASR, watching Fox News, CNN, BBC or any other mainstream ignorance. All of the above, lead to fast brain deterioration. Listen to music of your choice with whatever equipment you like, can afford and be happy.- bikutoru

Chord Electronics Qutest DAC - Official Thread
There is https://www.psaudio.com/products/directstream-dac/, it is FPGA based and updatable. Reports over the years were that with new firmware(s), almost every time it sounds like a brand new DAC. I'm not sure WTA based DACs owners want what they love and used to, to be replaced with some new...- bikutoru

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!
There are many different kinds of believes, and most depend on how deep a believer pocket is. Abandoning all that for a minute. When I'm too lazy or my listening time is too short and I do not want to fire up my whole rig, I'd plug my Diana directly into a MacBook Pro 2015 or 2016 and every time...- bikutoru

It is only normal if it is coming from a display panel when no music is playing. I sometimes hear it when it powers up, but when something is playing it is always be quiet, I verified it by turning volume down. This has been discussed on this thread too, just search for "high pitch". I haven't...- bikutoru

For a week I turned off all the streaming and just let play similar music based on my selection from my local files. It is not just a joy of discovery of my own collection but magical too. It does not have to be limited to your own library, but include Qoubuz or Tidal streaming sources too. It...- bikutoru

If you mainly use Tidal, it seems to me that TT2 would be doing lots of noise filtering for you. Quite an educational video and why I shy away from Tidal:- bikutoru

> So much more but the only inconvenience is that there's no 4 pin XLR headphone port. This question belongs in https://www.head-fi.org/threads/chord-electronics-dave.766517/ thread. Lucky for TT2/HMS owners, they can be happy with any headphone in existence. Even Susvara, someone goes to +12db with them, but it is still fine. +12db, I'm curious what color is it on the TT2's orb...- bikutoru

Do it every other hour :stuck_out_tongue::black_joker:😜 All three systems mentioned are already beyond an average, not just consumer, but audiophile. Last year at CanJam I switched back and forth between Dave and TT2, it was just 10-15 and I couldn't say I preferred one over the other. Then after an hour I got to listen to Bartok, again while it was nice I wouldn't be able to say that it was that much better and I'd choose it over my TT2. The...- bikutoru

Curious if anybody is using their TT2 with volume in 0+ territory? I use TT2 in high gain, driving passive speakers between -20db and -10db. Headphones -20db and -5db. -5db is usually for classical recordings, rarely drop down to 0, but never seem to go into +. I know, it all equipment...- bikutoru
