Custom Cans in Cheltenham do a superb detachable cable mod. They have some YouTube videos showing the process on several Grado.

Have you tried Shipibo pads with your GH2? Really lovely addition. I also have the ZMF Beyer pads and adapters for them. Comfy but not quite as good a sound. Sorry to be off topic.

None of that exists excuses lacklustre support unfortunately. What it causes is customer distrust.

I don't think I tried those pads. At the time I was trying to keep the signature as close as possible. Since then I love a good earpad experimentation.

Minimal change, it's very hard to notice anything apart from a bit more space. I was very happy with the result as I don't like the stock pads. They're a crappy material. I tested various other Beyer pads. No others worked well. Ebay is often full of used custom cables, OFC copper and the like...

I did, but I can't say it's made any difference to sound. Just shorter so easier to use. Hope the pads work out for you.

The wireless is a bit of a mess. Sounds terrible (lack of bass) without a good seal, which is tough to get on it. Many, many better headphones for the same money. If the choice is one of these, then T1 all day long.

Most Beyers don't, the T1 gen 2 are very different to the others. I wouldn't disregard them based off trying the 1990 or any other models. Very different beast, very unique, worthy of any collection.

Honestly the Mojo has more than enough power for them. If you did want to improve, the Mojo 2 is genuinely an excellent upgrade in regards to functionality. But the original Mojo is a superb devices.

I'm just using a Mojo 2. Not exactly cheap, but less expensive than many other options. They're such an excellent pairing.

These headphones deserve far more credit than they receive. I'd take them over anything else I've owned, that includes some ZMF, Meze Empyrean, LCD-X, the list goes on. With the right amp (not necessarily expensive powerhouse amp) they're incredible.

That's using the G6 with your TV with no chat functionality. It's not the same thing.

Just for info, TH909 and Mojo 2, match made in heaven. Probably my favourite kit I've heard it from so far.

I'm really surprised that the suede bass is increased so much more than leather. Go with the leather. As a general rule of thumb, when it comes to earpads stick with the same material types as stock if you want to increase comfort without dramatically changing the sound.

Years ago I slapped a pair of solid leather earpads on a Fidelio X2. Destroyed the sound. That was my big lesson in the right kind of pad for the right headphone type.

I don't think fenestrated would help it. They'd fit, but I think they'd be bad for the tuning. You need to stick with a solid pad.
