GUSTARD H10 High-current Discrete Class A output Stage Headphone Amplifier

Hi Orejo,    I am not sure what cable you want to use for that setup you have there mate. Choosing the right cable is a personal thing it really depends on your preferences.  I personally like the AQ line of cables :) But some say it is too "brassy" sounding :)    Dennis

GUSTARD H10 High-current Discrete Class A output Stage Headphone Amplifier

Hi Guys,    To clarify,    * We are introducing a stricter QC process, not redesigning the V5. * All customers should continue to use their V5s and the chances are most of them will be able to handle the 16.5V+- with ease. * If any of your V5 develops any issues then we’ll replace them...

The Xonar Essence STX Q/A, tweaking, impressions thread

You maybe thinking about the V4 opamp. The V5 has been redesigned for lower voltage and less current drawn. Only require 7ma so it is very well suited for PC sound card mod. Not to mentioned the much smaller profile. :)

Supreme Sound (Burson) Audio Lycan Headamp

Easily, the power supply is a full 24 watts but it's throttled down to 2 so it's ultra-stable and can handle almost every headphone you can imagine. You can hear the difference between commercial op-amps made for computers and discrete op-amps tailored for audio... it's like a stethocope into...

    Burson Conductor Virtuoso Thread.

As explained in other posts today, these were decisions based on a no-op-amp topology with all-optmized discrete circuits and class-A operation. Some people and headphones are more sensitive to the sound of the class-A idle current which disappears when  playing music. The new 100-step volume...

    Burson Conductor Virtuoso Thread.

Hello fb24601. As explained in another post, the low-level hiss is the class-A idle current that some people and headphones are more sensitive to. Burson choose a no-op-amp all-disrete class-A design to get the sound they coudn't get using op-amps.  Thanks, Burson
