GUSTARD H10 High-current Discrete Class A output Stage Headphone Amplifier

I have a Liquid Carbon that I use balanced, and a half boat Burson H10. I agree that the LC is the brighter of the two (though not overly bright like Schiit at all), and find them comparable on soundstage. Different style amps, but both are excellent. Both sound great with planars and the HD650.

Cavalli Audio's Liquid Carbon Owners Impressions

I have the LC with a new DAC-19. Phenomenal combo. Gets better each day.

    ☯️ Cavalli Audio's Liquid Carbon... a $599 Cavalli amp???

My Carbon is dead silent on both balanced and single ended. Hope you figure out the problem. I have been thrilled to find the Carbon immune to the RFI and hum that has plagued both of my Woo amps in the same room.

Cavalli Audio's Liquid Carbon Owners Impressions

I'm using these.  They are fine, a little squishy but do the job.   http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0042U6ZDU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s02

    New Audio-gd DAC-19 [10th Anniversary Edition]

That's interesting. I have a Mojo, LC and a DAC 19 on the way. It will be fun seeing which synergy works well for various headphones. I don't have an HD800 but do have a T1. I actually like the T1 straight out of the Mojo, which surprised me a bit. Looking forward to trying it with the DAC 19.

    ☯️ Cavalli Audio's Liquid Carbon... a $599 Cavalli amp???

1109 and received address confirmation today.   The last two FedEx deliveries were literally thrown over my gate.  Hate FedEx.

    Calling All "Vintage" Integrated/Receiver Owners

I have a Sansui 881 and a 2000X.  The 881 is my favorite of the two, but not by much as they have a similar sound - lush, but not loose or unrefined, good bass extension.  I also have a Pioneer SA-9100 that I love.  It is more neutral and very powerful.  All of them work great with Mad Dogs...

    Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread

You may want to try a silver or SPC cable with them. Some find that tightens up and extends the sound signature.

I would look elsewhere for something that sounds decent straight from a Mac or phone. Perhaps Denon AH-D600.

MrSpeakers Alpha Dog Revealed! - The World's First Production 3D-Printed Headphones

Seriously, guys. Why has this thread about an exciting new product become so snarky? He chose a color. You may not like it, but it's not about you. He wanted to launch in time for CAS, so the final production version wasn't quite ready. Is there really any more life to beat out of these dead...

MrSpeakers Alpha Dog Revealed! - The World's First Production 3D-Printed Headphones

I heard the Alpha Dogs today at the Cal Audio Show and will definitely be doing the upgrade when that's available. Tighter and faster than the Mad Digs with no mid bass bump. I loved them. Dan said the cable connectors are proprietary. I was sort of wishing they used an already existing...

Headphone Comparisons From Best Buy/Future Shop

I have the AH-D600, as well as the HD650 and Mad Dogs. I personally think the D600 get a bad rap on Head-Fi. I like them better than the D2000 I had and sold. Solid but not boomy bass, no sibilance like the 2000s, easy to drive and come with a long cable as well as a shorter cable with...

    IEM for kids?

Check out the various Monoprice earphones on Amazon. The 8320s are the original value king, but various models are well regarded. I have a pair of the 8320. Decent build and the bass extension is good. That model might be too big for kids' ears but they have others. And they all really...

**MrSpeakers Mad Dog: Impressions and Discussion Thread**

I personally think the MDs with Alpha Pads have the right amount of bass, and I have sold off phones in the past that I did not think had enough. That said, a related consideration is how you like your mids and highs, and whether you want a V shaped sound signature or not. I think MDs have great...

Why doesn't anybody like the Denon AH-D600

Why not try the HD650s or HD600 next. The HD650s are very difficult to hate and you might just love them. I do. But they leak a lot of sound obviously, like most open phones, so bear that in mind in case you want to use next to a sleeping spouse.

Why doesn't anybody like the Denon AH-D600

I got mine open box for $250 from Amazon Warehouse.    Personally, I do prefer my Mad Dogs to the D600.  But the MDs require a lot of power.  Not just an amp, but a powerful one, to get the most from them.  And I did not like the cable options so shelled out extra to get them recabled.  The...

    Durability of Westone IEM's?

I have the UM1 and W3, and had the W4 in the past.  Very durable IEMs and great for air travel as they isolate so well.

Why doesn't anybody like the Denon AH-D600

I recall the D2000 as being fatiguing to my ears more than sibilant per se. But I definitely have not found the D600 to be either sibilant or fatiguing.

    Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread

X2 on the Woo WA6. Absolutely lovely. And versatile - my Grado 325s sound fantastic with it too. I also have a Corda Headamp-1 and Gilmore Lite that sound good but I use those more with my Mad Dogs.

HE-400 have let me down, what happened?

I like the AH-D600, better than the D2000. I think they might not have quite enough bass thump for the OP, however. I also like the DT700s, but they can run a bit bright at the top end.
