Songs that make your headphone WOOOOOW!!!

Funny, I was just thinking of a topic similar to this, what's the most detailed piece of music you've ever heard.. And I was thinking this while listening to a Scritti Politti retrospective back to 1979. Before anyone gets bent and immediately thinks "a perfect way", or 80's synt pop, they...

just got some ATH-CM700s off ebay. Harshness issues.

It's been quite a while since I've visited or posted here. Anyway, i picked up a set of ath-cm700 earbuds from ebay for what seems to be a rediculously low price, and now I'm wondering if they are knock-offs. I got them last night and was very excited to gove them a listen. Long and shot of it...

    hd 595 first impressions

if you have a pair of 595s and a copy of Billy Idol's Charmed life, i highly reccommend listening to Prodigal Blues. It is a pretty awesome test track that covers pretty much everything you would want in a test track, highs, lows, dynamics, bass, guitar, vocals, layers, nuances, detail, etc. I...

    hd 595 first impressions

my fav so far out of my AT a900s or grado 325s. Overall, better seperation, wider and deeper soundstage, less fatigue over long listening sessions, warmer sound, especially with guitar and bass plucks (ATs and 325s seem clinical in comparison). Not as laid back as I was expecting them to be...

    50 vs 120 ohm HD-595

harkens back to the grado vs senn debate.I guess this is how they might get some grado converts....

    50 vs 120 ohm HD-595

50 ohm should be easier to drive and I'm guessing that's why senn created them, to be used with sources that dont have alot of juice, like portables, ipods, etc. If i can get a hold of some, my primary device will be my laptop....

Can you open up the A900s?

that's really weird. I have a900s as well and have not experienced what you have. Can you exchange them for a new pair or did you buy them from a private party? Rob

How far can you crank ATH-A900 ?

i think you mean distort. Depending on your source, your ears will be ruined and you'll probably have a helluva headache before the a900s distorst.

    Best cans for electronic music?

true but only if they are properly amped. Even though they are low impedance cans, they need a good source or will not sound as good as they possibly can. Unamped the ath-a900s (IMHO) would be a better choice. With a good amp, the cd3ks.

in discussion and when inquiring about headphones, many people ask "what do you listen to". Well, lots of stuff. After many months of rippping CDs and organizing stuff, I finally finished cataloging my tracks and decided to post them on my website. Just thought I'd share... My Catalog of Songs

Please Help: The Quest for Bass AND Clarity in a Headphone (puhlease help me!)

if it helps at all, the a900 is the closest thing to a closed grado, but without the fatiguing highs and the addition of almost speaker-like bass. I went from sr60s to hd590s to cd3000 and ended up with the a900s and never looked back. I still have my sr60's though cause they are wonderful as a...
