    MYSPHERE 3.1 "FAQ's"

Totally agree with you regarding height adjustment - haven't tried altering where the headband sits on my head too much, as it seems to sit most comfortably only in one position. Taking care that the headphone ear capsules are angulated out/in exactly the same on each side cured a very slight...

New, Fully Balanced Burson Conductor 3X: Dual ESS9038, 7.5wpc XLR, 3.75wpc SE Headamp, Changeable Opamps

@fjlabs Did this require a back to base return or did you insert the board yourself?

    Audeze - MM-Series - MM-500

That's not correct. Open headphones still separate the ear side from the outside with the headphone speaker diaphragm and the earpads. A port may provide partial sealing only. A closed back headphone minimizes leakage of the sound in to and from the "outside" by enclosing the area between the...

    MYSPHERE 3.1-UNIQUE in SOUND&DESIGN&BUILD QUALITY

My favourite headphone of all time is the Stax Sigma Pro (very closely followed by the Sigma/404 hybrid). The Mysphere is very reminiscent of the original Stax Sigma IMHO

RAAL has AMT drivers (think accordion) used by Precide's ERGO AMT and the Heil AMT. The Mysphere has dynamic drivers. Both are open back and open side headphones (no sealed earpads).

    MYSPHERE 3.1-UNIQUE in SOUND&DESIGN&BUILD QUALITY

Today, I worked out what was causing a very slight channel imbalance in my Mysphere 3.2's - the angle of the earspeakers should be exactly the same left and right. I had previously been listening to various angles - wide spread to parallel with the pinnae (I prefer the latter - better bass) and...

    AKG K812 Pro, underrated?

Loving my K812 (picked up second hand about a year ago for AUS$800). Worth every cent. Sounds great out of any of the Burson Conductor Reference 3X, Fidelice Precision DAC/Headphone amp or the Focal Arche. It's a little bright, but otherwise tonally superb - as mentioned in the review by @alpha80

There shouldn’t be any obviously audible noise. Contact Burson to get a replacement or try a Supercharger

I've got an Arctic Cables copper lead that will fit (bought it for the T 1.2 I no longer have) - must give it a try. The Beyer cable should, in theory, be better however.

Beyerdynamic T1 3rd Gen out now

I'll have a go at this - it's one of the few headphones that has a palpable and dynamic impulse response - you can feel and hear, for example, a bass drum hit - I haven't heard and felt this before. Not only that, the top end is well controlled (i.e. minimized sibilance without sounding dull)...

@jamesjames which Phonitor amp are you using? The original higher output impedance one sounds great too at Casa Buchanan.

I think the Mysphere 3.2 is a better headphone than the AKG K812, but not glaringly so. The macro- and micro-dynamics of the Mysphere are supreme - ultra fast without the typical brightness of fast phones. Detail without treble excess to spotlight it. It simply handles contrasts of loudness...

Beyerdynamic T1 3rd Gen out now

Get hold of an amplifier that suits the T1.2 better and it really shines. I've used the Focal Arche, SPL Phonitor, Burson Conductor 3X Reference and the Fidelice and it sounds great on all. The amplifier must be able to drive this headphone for it to show its true quality.

Currawong, you absolutely nailed the Mysphere with either the Transparent (T) or Flat (F) ear cushions. I'd suggest however, to try the Bass (B) cushions with the ear cases close to parallel to the pinnae. The bottom end is far better under these conditions. Piano (top to bottom) and double bass...

Let's start at the most obvious end of the T1.3 - the bottom end. There's a whole lot of stuff down there reproduced with the T1.3 that is only hinted at by many phones. It actually was a "I haven't heard that before" moment the first time I put them on, and that doesn't happen often (only twice...

Definitely not. No bloat, and ultra fast. Well worth it.
