    Monster Turbine Pro vs. IE8

I painted mine with camouflage paint. Now, safe and sound (great sound).

    Monster Turbine Pro vs. IE8

Yeah, I think they had two pair. Just kidding. But at least that's all I can discern of HFers getting them at that price (playingwithfire is the only other HFer I know who got them from the newegg deal). They said 5 limit per buyer, but I doubt they had many. So yes, the "halo effect" of getting...

    Monster Turbine Pro vs. IE8

Amen to that. Not that I am on the level of an AV Guide reviewer, but I owned both the IE7 and the Custom 3s, and each one lasted about a week at my house before I sold them. I had the IE8 too, and it stayed around longer, but not much longer. Also, I would not say Monster makes ovepriced...

    Impressions of the Ortofon e-Q7 versus the IE8, CK100, SE530, FX500 and X10 (plus CK10 discussion from post #120)

You know, I have the Monster tips here, and forgot to try them, just for kicks. THanks.

A fun, overall great sounding IEM with great details, large soundstage, and precise instrument separation? $200 budget

    Monster Turbine Pro vs. IE8

No, not me (as noted on the other thread). Have the MTPGs in right now, small super tips, with Johnny A playing his jazz guitar. These phones are not just excellent for most genres, they are a good value at $200. Even better with the $118 open box price I paid. I got very, very lucky. I had...

    Meelectronics M9: WOW

Another thumbs up for these inexpensive IEMs. They are an excellent value, and while tend to be somewhat bassy, it's not a bad thing. I experimented with several tips, and settled on the PR1 Pro bi-flanges, which really deliver the best sound to my ears. I would recommend these to anyone...

Sage advice. Too many opinions, just buy and try. Always works. Be sure to try the super tip (silicones stuff with gel). I had been using bi-flanges from another phone, but the small super tips are great for me after a second try.

Well, my ears tell me I'm with javajive on this one, no surprise. Based on the OPs needs, I believe the CK10s could work for him. If the OP needs a little more bass (without using EQ), but wants detail and mids, then I agree with StereoIntegrity that the MTPGs also might also be a good option...

    Impressions of the Ortofon e-Q7 versus the IE8, CK100, SE530, FX500 and X10 (plus CK10 discussion from post #120)

Same view as my friend holds on the way the highs sound on each. Same way I feel about the Pannys and the CK10s, probably. Switching to the CK10s is a relief, again just my opinion.

@rawrster ... It's in the initial post, HJE900s and Fuze. Good chance she may be back, even if only as an observer.

    Impressions of the Ortofon e-Q7 versus the IE8, CK100, SE530, FX500 and X10 (plus CK10 discussion from post #120)

I agree that treble has to be refined and smooth, and only then am I a treble lover. To my ears, there is nothing harsh or fatiguing about the CK10 treble; others may hear otherwise. I have a pair of HJE900s here, 50 hours on them, and, sorry tosay, their treble is harsh/fatiguing to me. When I...

My worlds been turned upside down

Gapless not an issue for me, but I don't really get a hiss problem with the Sony X and my two main IEMs, the CK10s and the Monster Turbine Pro Gold. I do use the Sony as my road machine, and the Amp3 as my home DAP (though the amp3 only has 4GB onboard and does have some hiss, but I use on-ear...
