Arrived qian39. Still in competition with ShE3800, q39 being more in you face and clean & SHE3800 more recess and dark. I prefer SHE3800 for long relax audition and qian39 for excitement moments.

It's very strange, or you have a faulty pair, the SHE3800 has a more close-up iem high-end sound (nota being) than the **** PT15 that you find amazing. The high-end signatures doesn't usually hurt the ears the way PT15 hurt.

It is difficult for me to hear the same iem/buds for a whole day, having the IE800 for pleasure hearing, but the SHE3800 are the first ones with this capacity, not that they are as good as the IE800 but because it has a very good sound, not fatiguing, and somehow similar, and for the low price...

Unfortunately there has always been something we hate at any iem we buy.

I received PT15 today, and they are not bad for the price, lot of definition for an earbuds. Too bad I had bad fit on the left ear with the MX985 and also PT15, heavier earbuds. How do you wear earbuds, stuck in your ear or just hanging on ear? mm

Interestingly, i was unaware that Sennheiser suddenly stopped knowing how to make a headphone. I think you're not analyzing sound quality, just making considerations of what kind of signature you like the most, if is that, i understand.

+1 for comfort, I have other good iems, but these win in plug & play, aren't picky on fit, weigh nothing, and give a beastly sound. :)

Interestingly i note that to have the best of IE800 i have to always keep the tips clean and free of wax. When they get oily i lose quality, more than other iems.

Over the years we have seen new iems supposedly better than the IE800, but gradually fade away from the scene, while the IE800 here continue to marvel at the in-ear world, same for Etymotic ER4. Yes it's true that if we use them continuously they become tired and lose the charm, but if we stop...

Maybe like my etymotic ER4PT or senn MX985, that would be awesome.

Times to Times i must reset my ears from IE800, to do that i make a hearing trip with all my other iem's. Them when i come back to IE800...WoW! I see why they are so uniques, but like I said I must reset my ears times to times.
