    REVIEW: Ostry KC06

Did those mods some times ago too, inspired by james' post, I think I posted my finding here some dozens page ago. Found it too bassy or aggressive/peaky no matter how I do I even did pinhole mod and while it help it was still a bit too forward for me so back to stock form it went. Be...

Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)

There are improvement with better source and amp but not quite as noticeable as other phone I have. Yeah you should, those are pretty good detailed comparison which is a waste to just rot in my inbox. :P I agree about the soundstage, I dunno how to describe it, it's not huge or small, not...

Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)

I quite like how DM2 turned out to be after many many hours of burn-in. If Sidy could get the upper mid better next time they'd get one hell of an IEM. Best thing though it sounds quite good already straight out of my phone output, unlike KC06 and A83 which need some power to get them to truly...

FIDUE A83 impressions and discussion thread

Just got this, very satisfying low and upper mid (female vocal) though not without slight coloration and very slight hint of sibilance, nice clarity though but upper high is a bit recessed for my liking (this is very subjective and I reckon most people will be fine or even prefer this kind)...

SoundMAGIC HP100/HP150 Review and Impressions Thread

Velour usually accentuate high and release bass, mean less of them, I think some people here have tried using HP100 with DT velour pad and found it to be like that. I'm still waiting for those hifiman's velour pleather pad... Oh wait, they're already available on the website...

    REVIEW: Ostry KC06

It's a demo unit, they actually have X5 too but I was pressed on time when I visited them today and didn't get to try it, maybe later.

    REVIEW: Ostry KC06

Heard Kc06 and tenore via dx90 today (amazing player!), it only help me further away from ever buying tenore. :p Also heard se215, im50, re400 and re600. I Iike IM50 best out of the bunch but the fitting is nightmarish.

[REVIEW]: SoundMAGIC HP100 - The Natural All-Rounder Headphone

What's the difference between double padding and stock? Won't that muffle the sound?

    REVIEW: Ostry KC06

That's what I thought too, I wouldn't mind having Tenore as my main IEM if I haven't heard KC06 which fits better for my preferences. Quite nice timbre.

    REVIEW: Ostry KC06

It's good, very linear, thin midbass, good sub bass, okayish treble, okayish mid, impressive soundstage for its size, good timbre better than re400. It's a very safe phone. However it's also not exciting enough for me, nor it's better suited for my playlist and my ears than KC06. ;) Praise...

Only have DM2 with me, I think Hisoundfi has other Sidy but other than the bass I'm not really impressed with their flagship so not hoping much on its sound.

    REVIEW: Ostry KC06

I think Sidy DM2's treble will kill your ears then lol, KC06 is very very polite compared to this wild horse. Maybe KC06A will be actually more to your liking then? Haven't heard it yet but it should be smoother...

    REVIEW: Ostry KC06

Curious, is it because you think it's peaky or because it's not enough? I'm not satisfied with KC06's treble too but it's because I think it's a tad too polite, how is Tenore in this area?

    The discovery thread!

You are wrong, it's not plastic, it's obvious if you have it on hand. I don't think it looks expensive nor cheap however. The cable is hideous though, but you just can't get it to be microphonic so at least it serves its purpose very well.
