ZMF Atrium - new open-back co-flagship
Clearly pays off to jump in at the front of the line! I ordered on the 19th, and got the 'Machining' msg on 25th. 'Assembly, then QC' message yesterday, so still at least a couple, three weeks away. Guessing I'll get my Auteur back first.- LCMusicLover

MEZE AUDIO ELITE - The New Isodynamic Hybrid Array Headphone - official thread
This is why good businesses make every effort to satisfy their customers. One bad customer story negates ten good stories. Personally, I have two Lavricables cables (always funny to write that) and haven't had any problems with them, so have never interacted with their after-sales customer...- LCMusicLover

HEDD Announces HEDDphone With AMT Technology
Those are not replacement headbands. Rather soft, velcro-attached pads which can be installed around the headstrap all ZMFs come with to make them thicker. Sorry.- LCMusicLover

Rank the Headphones that You Own.
I wonder about the top-two ranking. Is the RAD-0 preference (vs VC) about open vs closed, or tonality, or something else? I also would have put RAD-0 ahead of HEKv2 when I owned them both, but like you, I would have also ranked them both near the top.- LCMusicLover

I guess this is Your ears/My ears. I found the perf lamb Eikon pads (one of two sets shipped with OG Auteur) too warm and rolled with the Auteur perf lamb for quite some time. Then eventually picked up some suede options, and settled on Eikon perf suede as my preferred option for my Goldilocks...- LCMusicLover

MEZE AUDIO ELITE - The New Isodynamic Hybrid Array Headphone - official thread
I guess that really is Your ears/My ears. To me, Empy's headstage could be described as lush and enveloping. Perhaps 'airy' isn't accurate for E2 -- hard to come up with the right words to describe headstage -- maybe I mean 'open'. But I hear a lot more space, especially depth, from E2. I...- LCMusicLover

Same here -- I also liked the headstage of the Ether 2 over Empy -- by a lot. But that's really just personal taste. Others might prefer Empy's lush, enveloping headstage vs the more open, airy headstage of E2.- LCMusicLover

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
Same here -- Elite are pretty efficient. At this point, my XLRs are feeding either my DSHA-3F, Liquid Platinum or the amp section of my Master 11. I tried the XLR outs with my Heddphones and my Ether 2, but in the end decided that the SE front-panel outputs had sufficient power to render me...- LCMusicLover

The PENON official thread
Love my Volts (and my IT07s) with UTWS5s. Wish they were both mmcx or 2-pin -- the little mmcx-to-2pin adapters hurt the ergonomics with the Volts a little. Certainly not enough of an issue to make me spring for another whole set of UTWS5s. Just slightly annoying.- LCMusicLover

ZMF Atrium - new open-back co-flagship
Too late, already took your advice, Cocobolo Atrium incoming. Kinda funny -- after I had a loaner Atrium I knew I'd end up buying a set, but hadn't really committed to doing it right now. Then I saw that the new LTD was going to be Cocobolo and all hesitation flew out the window ... along with...- LCMusicLover

ETHER 2: Impressions and Discussion
Sure, you could connect it. But ... No volume control on the amp, so you could potentially make a mistake and send 150W/ch to the headphones if you fed the amp too much input voltage. By comparison, the amps I drive my Ether 2 with deliver around 1 -2 watts max. Output impedance is very...- LCMusicLover

I got that as well. Don’t have any other ZMFs to cheat w/ — Elite getting plenty of head time right now. Still wondering whether my Atrium will arrive before my Auteur upgrade — Atrium are in ‘Sanding & Finishing’ as of Thursday.- LCMusicLover

MEZE AUDIO ELITE - The New Isodynamic Hybrid Array Headphone - official thread
Both pads can ~sort of~ be used, and they do make the fit snugger. Neither are great though as the Elite strap is too wide for a secure fit. You can get either pad on, but it doesn’t take much for them to come off. Co-Pilot is better since it’s a bit wider. I did think the seal might have been...- LCMusicLover

MEZE AUDIO ELITE - The New Isodynamic Hybrid Array Headphone - official thread
ZMF Atrium have pretty prominent mids. I haven't heard LCD-5, so can't compare. I had an Atrium loaner, then (after loaner was sent onward) got my Elite. Now I have (my own) Atrium inbound, so I'll be able to compare w/ Elite. For me, this aren't issues (looseness and defective seal) with...- LCMusicLover

MEZE AUDIO ELITE - The New Isodynamic Hybrid Array Headphone - official thread
For sure, if the ‘nominal’ impedance is way off from the ‘practical’ impedance, the the current requirements will be non-linear. But that doesn’t affect the power requirements which are driven by sensitivity. Your question negates the predicate of @Andykong ’s question (assumes sensitivity and...- LCMusicLover

MEZE AUDIO ELITE - The New Isodynamic Hybrid Array Headphone - official thread
Yes, that’s what the math says. Sensitivity is expressed as dB/mW (or per watt for speakers). So if the sensitivity is the same, then the power needed to create some SPL would also be the the same by definition. Current is a different story — once you calculate the power required for a given...- LCMusicLover
