What genres are we feeling LCD2Cs are performing best with right now?

This was so insightful. Except people want to know how they actually measure up, not how marketing says it will.

I wonder if two camps are going to emerge here of organic tone vs. clarity and imaging, like with the original prefazor.  I hope the Pro has a nice tone to it

Agreed.  I hope they can finally segway into a more correct sounding lineup. less mid suckout and more balanced treble/less spike would have me ready

People seem to consider the fazor LCDs a stepdown so it wouldn't surprise me.  All they did was create fake excitement with I guess better imaging.     No fazor is an interesting move and I wonder what they're going to have to say about that.

I wonder if this price point is competitive with the LCDs real market prices of $700-$1400 for the 2/X/3. Maybe these will be announced with a price cut to the LCD line

Anyone have any luck with custom tips?  I want to maximize my Andromeda experience and hoping to find something better than universal tips

I wouldn't really suggest LCDs as an upgrade to the 560.  They are a very different sound, and one does not replace the other

HE1000?   Easier to drive than an HE6.   If you were willing to deal with driving the HE6, then I'd say HE6.  A proper amp to drive them and the HE6 itself could probably be had for less than an HE1000V2

it's a $4000 headphone, you can't at least swing a Jotunheim or some AGD?

Do you owners who also have an lcd2/3/x find the carbon fiber headband provides more tension than the classic headband, which may be stretched and loosened?

Guys I think we all agree that this 10k peak at its worse can be pretty irritating and antithetical to the reason we originally bought these headphones.     We know the pads leave a lot of room for reflection of high frequencies, that can vary based on closeness to ear, angle of the pad, and...

I think amperex tubes add a really nice touch to the 560s dry midrange, if you ever feel like experimenting

Can any other vegan users chime in? If I could dull the 10k accentuation on this 2016 pair if really like that. Does it lower all the treble overall? My pair is quite dark as is, just has a strong 10k peak

metal recordings suck flat out. I found the 560s pretty good with metal to be honest. Very great at presenting guitar and having deep but non bloated bass to give solid lean meat

The grass isn't neccessarily greener on the other side.   Older fazors have a more upfront midrange, only missing the deepest of subbass, and may or may not have a less intense treble spike at 10k
