I bought Sex and DF from Ebay and both are cheap and good, especially the Sex, it looks like new, I can hardly find a scratch. I bought it from a seller with 100% positive feedback. So pictures show good item and the seller's feedback is great, then it should be a safe buy.

Not heard DT150. But DT990 has a lot flat soundstage than HD 6 series. BTW, I found lot of headphones cannot present soundstage height, even they may have a good depth. The power of Sennheiser is soundstage height presentation.

Yes. And not only the HD6 series, IE80 and IE800 are also much holographic than most IEMs.

I think it's not the issue of Dynamic vs Planar, but the ability of Sennheiser!!! I didn't find most dynamics has the holographic sound as Sennheiser products, like Byer's, AKG's etc. and those Chi-fi IEMs.

@L0rdGwyn is right. Tube amplifiers hugely expand the soundstage. 6xx does not like SS amp.

I found HE400i has a much larger soundstage than 6xx. Am I right?

I listened in a store. They just use a balanced cable for 650, but not for 800.

I had an opportunity recently to compare HD650 (balanced) with HD800 (single ended) on HDVD600. I'm very disappointed of HD800. Is it better than 650? Yes. Deserved 3-4 times of price? Ridiculous.

I don't think 12AU7 can be used on V2. 12AU7 ..is used for both channels and 6N1P for single channel alone.

I really love 6XX with Pono balanced, same from 600. Plenty of power to drive them with balanced mode. Did you try 600 with Pono?

I use balanced mode with MD 6XX. Such a beautiful sound. Plenty of power to drive 6XX.

Agree. I didn't hear 880, but I had 990/600. For what I had and have listened, 990, M500 and 58X are all much better than 9500. At $60, M500 is unparalleled. Its soundstage is more holographic (though not very large) than 990 and maybe 58X. One of the most weakness of 9500 is its flat...
