That's my concern. He6 needs amp that truly has enough power reserve to really sings. To compensate power deficit with too much gain is not the best option. So I would like to know that standard version of M11 (normal gain setting) can drive He6 properly or not.

@ doyouknowSBmean   Have you ever compared He6 VS He1000 on Master 11?  How much better He1000/M11 to He6/M11 paring?   Has Master11 enough power to push He6 to the max capability?   Thanks.

Yes, this is a custom job.  At the beginning I email to Gilbert about amp for He6 after that Toby is the man who discuss with me in detail (for example shallco attenuator, the position of input/output).  It took 2 Months to arrive.

Mine has no build in DAC, have only headphone amp with separate gigantic power supply which is the key for the hardest to drive He6.  Supposed to have input:RCA, XLR and output: 4pinXLR, 6.3mm. One Alps volume control.   Let's hope that there's no delay.

One aspect I'm not sure about PS1000 is grain.  When compare to LCD-X, PS1000 has more grain.  I don't know whether it's becuase PS1000 is more resolving (LCD-X may gross over?) or it's because PS1000 actually has more grain.   No reviewer comment to this aspect yet.   I would like to read...

From headphone output of MHA100 is definite not enough power for Abyss and He6, but what about direct connection to speaker tabs output.  Have you ever tried connecting Abyss or He6 to speaker tabs of MHA100?   Thanks

In my experience Graham Slee Solo ULDE works extremely good with PS1000.   Another amps that didn't work for me were Burson HA160D, Soloist, Centrance DACmini CX, Bryston BHA-1.   PS1000 is also the only headphone (among dynamic, orthodynamic in my sig) that has clarity at Abyss level.

I had tried a lot of DAC, AMP and finally stay with eximus dp1 and ef6. I think they're pretty good and satisfy me enough. In my system most headphones that have the best details are also have sibilance problems (HD800, PS1000, HE6) except Abyss which has incredible details without sibilance...

Build in amp of DP1 can drive my lcd-x very well, great detail, excellent dynamic and very good impact. Anyway lcd-x sounds a lot better with Dp1-->EF6. I would say about 15-20% better in all aspects. .

@ SteveM324   Have you ever heard Hifiman EF6 + He6?  Has M9 obviously more powerful than EF6? Usually my EF6+ He6 is at around 1-2 PM of volume dial that is around the same level as your M9 (60/100). So I doubt that M9 really has more power than EF6 or not.   Thanks
