    Makes sense. A lot of planar stuff seems to perform better when the back is open.

    Well yes, but I have to take some EE secrets to the grave 😜. Just went up to NC and took the blue ridge parkway up to mount mitchell. It’s the tallest point on the east coast so it was pretty surreal.

    That’s what I said. It’s the shell material that conducts the sound into your ears. If your ear makes contact with the shell elsewhere, You’ll perceive more vibration.
