Fiio E7 vs Fiio E07K (Andes)
Hey, I'm finally getting a portable amp, so I of course looked at Fiio. Having had my birthday recently, I have a bit more money than usual, so I was hoping to get a bit of a higher end amp. I've been debating between the E11 and E07K for some time now. The E07K however, can also be used as a...- FlyingPigman

Comfortable Headphones for Indie/Dubstep
Buy a Fiio E7, it's a portable Amp as well as a USB DAC. It's $60 on Amazon atm, and it works well. it also has an EQ menu where you can adjust the sound to your liking. If you don't want a DAC, go for the slightly cheaper E11.- FlyingPigman

Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro Velour Pads?
Hey, I finally decided to get a pair of COP's. I couldn't decide between them, or the HD558's, so I bought them both xD. Anyways, I was wondering what pads worked on them. I know you can buy velour pads for the DT770's on Amazon, and I was wondering if they'd work with the COP's. Also, has...- FlyingPigman

Sennheiser HD 558 Sound leakage?
Thank you so much for this closure. I just ordered them in white on Amazon for $180. Now that that's over, do you have any recommendations for a case? Seeing as I'm going to take them to school, I can't just throw them around, or they'll get broken D: so yeah.... Also, I don't think I need an...- FlyingPigman

Sennheiser HD 558 Sound leakage?
Idk, I tried them on in Best Buy. The mids sounded a bit bloated to me and it was just off... I don't know, they felt very spaced out. Also, I'm on like a ~$180 budget- FlyingPigman

What Headphones Got You Hooked On Good Sound?
Haha, I was just reminiscing about my first headphone purchase. I asked for a pair of Samson SR850's for my 10th birthday. At the time mind you, $50 seemed like a ton of money. Anyways, I grew up listening to good sound, and I got hooked. I now own 2 pairs of Senns, AKG Q701, and Grado SR80's...- FlyingPigman

Sennheiser HD 558 Sound leakage?
Those were actually the first headphones I looked at. I love how they look, they seem very comfortable, and they apparently have a slight V shape which I like. I also love the bass ports, however, they seem like they'll just sound kind of... muddy...- FlyingPigman

Sennheiser HD 558 Sound leakage?
I know, I'm looking at the DT 770 PRO's however, they're 250 ohms, so I'd need to buy a portable amp (Fiio E11) which adds another $60, and then for that price, I'd rather buy the Denon D600's and not need an amp. I've also been looking at the M50's, however I haven't worn them, so I'm not to...- FlyingPigman

Sennheiser HD 558 Sound leakage?
Would you say it would annoy people if I'm listening to indie rock at a low-mid volume. However, study halls are quiet as hell, soooo.... yeah. Thanks for the quick response though!- FlyingPigman

Sennheiser HD 558 Sound leakage?
Hey, I've been eyeing the 558's, and I was wondering about how much they leak. I tried them on in best buy, and they didn't seem to be leaking too much, but there was also music playing in the store, so it wasn't the best sense of how they sound in a quiet environment. So yeah... If anyone has...- FlyingPigman

What about the Fiio E7. It is only $70 on amazon ATM. Is it worth dropping the extra $15 for a DAC? Also, How is the battery life on each of these?- FlyingPigman

Do Denon D600's Need an Amp?
Hey, For christmas, I'm buying the d600's, and lets just say, well, they're a lot of money. So yeah, is an amp recommended? They're like 32 ohms, so I don't think it's required, but if it helps the sound, I guess I''ll get one, anyone have a pair to compare? Thanks!- FlyingPigman

Sennheiser HD 558 vs Audio Technica ATH-M50?
well, I was looking for the best sound I can have at school. This is why I like the m50s. They're portable and closed back. However, the 558s are more true to sound. Anyways. I mostly listen to rock and electronic. I'd buy the fiio e11 with either set, so I can eq the 558s for more bass I...- FlyingPigman

Sennheiser HD 558 vs Audio Technica ATH-M50?
hey, I thought I was set on buying the 558's, however, I've looked towards some closed back alternatives. I was wondering, what's better. M59's or 558's? Which one, and why. If anyone has tried on the m50s let me know what you think. Thank you!- FlyingPigman

Sennheiser PX 360?
Hey, I'm buying a new pair of headphones, and I went to best buy. I previously though my 518's were amazing, however, I went to best buy and tried on a pair of PX 360's. Needless to say, I was surprised by their sound. I guess I've gotten too used to open back headphones. Anyways, what's...- FlyingPigman

Are the Sennheiser HD 598 worth 150$ more than the 558 ?
I think your 558's should be fine on their own, but if you want, you can invest in a Fiio E11, or E6. Both of these are great options, and will make your listening experience much nicer, Again however, they're not mandatory.- FlyingPigman

Need help: Over ear headphones for movies/music that do not require an amp.
Yeah, when you go to best buy, make sure you go to the Home Audio section. I went to the normal headphones. All they had were beats and some rubbish IEM's.- FlyingPigman

Need help: Over ear headphones for movies/music that do not require an amp.
Well, neither the 558's nor the 598's require an amp. However, if you want to bring them alive for things such as movies, go for it. So yeah, they're both easy to drive, so watching movies on your ipad wouldn't be an issue. I must say I like the build quality on the 598's a bit better than on...- FlyingPigman

Are the Sennheiser HD 598 worth 150$ more than the 558 ?
As Jeremy said. Once you get a listen to the 558's, you're gonna be hooked on audio :P . I would recommend staying with the 558's, they're pretty much the same headphones, and a lot cheaper. Mind you, they use the same driver as the 598's. Think of the 558's as a different colour scheme to the...- FlyingPigman
