    Robust, tough bluetooth headphones

One of the kids, a teen is always breaking their headphones. What headphones have you given loads of abuse and they've lasted the longest? I guess somewhere around the 50 dollar mark. I rarely break headphones, so I've no experience of a good robust headset.

Sony MH1 R&D Story ...and discussion.

I have a set of these which I think sound great. But I could never get to fit right. One of the kids borrowed them and they are now not working in one ear. If anyone wants them before I bin them, let me know. No tips. I'll drop them in the post. Seems a shame to bin them.

[REVIEW] Sony MH1 – The Best Kept Secret

I could never wear the pair I have though I love the sound the cable just pulls them out constantly. My son borrowed them and within a week he had lost the tips and broken the cable. I wouldn't be able to re cable them but I'm reluctant to trash them. Why the sudden interest in then. This...

I have these. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-TX2BK-00-Headphones-Microphone-Black/dp/B00IUJ9MIY/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 I got the 5900 for about €15~the TX2 for about €25. For me They are better than 5900. I don't have them with me to AB with the TX2. But here is a big jump to...

    CALLING ALL IRISH MEMBERS

I have no budget or time for this anymore :frowning2: I'm barely hanging on to my low fi gear. So I'd have nothing to bring except cloth ears.... Kids have taken over most of my MP3 players and head phones, and nothing survives long in their hands. Last vague music related thing I've done is...

Whats the amp?   I think the shuffle is underrated. I'd love to have seen a bigger capacity one.

    Apple Touch 5G thread.

I think the question is can it be good enough.    Also it depends on how its implemented.    https://www.lifewire.com/what-to-know-about-bluetooth-3134591

    Apple Touch 5G thread.

Yes but it comes with the atachment, so you can still use your existing wired earphones.    I wouldn't buy a iPhone for many reasons. the Head phone jack missing is about #20 on the list.

I love minidisc - is that weird?

Might be an idea to pick up a couple as spares. They seem to be getting harder to find. I loved MD/HiMD. Not sure Id go back to it now.

How Many Are Still Using 1st Gen. Shuffles?

In the past. (See above) Not had any in many years. So can't compare them directly.    My memory is that I used to rate my 1st gen Shuffle just a bit above my Clip+ at the time.    None of the Shuffles (of any generation) have a screen. I assume none of them had EQ either. I never messed...

    1TB woes

I would wonder what the power draw is on the 1tb. In the early days of USB 2.5" disks,  the larger disks used more power than the smaller capacities and as a result often couldn't be powered from USB. You needed two USB ports to power some of them. Of course it might just be driver or firmware...

The 5G 16GB is decently under 200 euros where I am. I do agree about the interface.

Pictures of Your *Budget-Fi* Portable Rig (< $200)

Our Ipod4 has a very clean neutral sound. Some might say it lacks character or bass but I think that's missing its uncoloured and as such it's a good source for earphones that might be too coloured when matched with warmer sources. Perhaps that's why the 202s work for Moose. I just think it...

Pictures of Your *Budget-Fi* Portable Rig (< $200)

I think something that most of the planet cant buy is a little different from someone living in on the moon. I assumed the point of the rule was to give people on a budget what is possible. Not what is impossible. I want one cant get one. Hugs loved Sansa Zip. I still love ya buddy.
