IMR Pro Audio: Sonic Adventures & Impressions
Anyone tried Spiral Dots++? It's supposedly made out of softer silicon and sound wise more mid centric.- PsiCore

IMR Pro Audio: Sonic Adventures & Impressions
Guys, I need some suggestions for tips for DM. Currently I'm using Spirat Dots, but I can't keep a steady seal with them. These are my favorites mostly because of the clear sound and accentuated subbass. I tried Comply T500 and although they kept the seal quite well and the bass was powerful...- PsiCore

See few posts above my description of Rah vs BC. The DM is somewhat similar to Rah, but with a bit bigger bass and more emphasis in the higher mids/lower treble.- PsiCore

How do you know you're qualified for the ETS? If you've ordered the DM and later received also the "gift" earphones (I think these were supposed to be for the first 50 owners of DM/Avalon), you're qualified?- PsiCore

No comfort issues, but I lose seal with Spiral Dots fast and need to adjust the DM in my ear quite often.- PsiCore

The Dark Matter keep suprising me. With my previous IMRs I wasn't that much fiddling around with nozzles and filters, as I've found my sweet spot with blue bottom/gold top. Now this time, as mentioned in some previous post, this wasn't quite working for me, as to me there was something odd with...- PsiCore

In general I can agree with that, although sometimes the bass seems to be more powerful on DM, which is a good thing. The mids are the most suprising to me, as they're a lot more forward than BC. But there's something odd with them - there's some spike (can't really locate it) which makes them a...- PsiCore

DM on the right side - the screws are a tiny bit more silver-ish  At least I hope it's DM, because it's what I've ordered and what I've got :D- PsiCore

I feel you - really love the BC, although the mids are a bit too recessed for my tastes (coming from Rah), therefore ordered Dark Matter and having high hopes for them for being the endgame basshead IEM (and man, do I love how they look!). EDIT. Bob just confirmed to me that I'll be happy with...- PsiCore

What differences do you hear in comparison to the "open" plate? I really dig the BCs - keep listening to them almost every possible hour in the office ;) The only thing missing coming from Rah are the more forward mids, therefore I bumbed the 1k region by 3db - basically solved the "issue" for...- PsiCore

How's the highs on Rah for you? Do you notice any harshness sometimes? If yes, is it not noticable for you on OM, although these are more V-shaped?- PsiCore

Well, I'm a person who likes to know things. If he says there'll be no more discount - that's fine. But if he says there's a possibility for that, I would like to know how he will handle this, as I already payed the price. That's it.- PsiCore

That's interesting what you're writing about R2 vs R1Z, that R2 are being smoother than R1Z. To me it's the opposite - at least right out of the box. For now I can't find any combination of filters, which would prevent some harshness and sibilants here and there: e.g. from 1:44 - the same track...- PsiCore

I had some strange distortion with my V1 - especially in the bass region and some kind out of phase. Something's definitely wrong with your unit.
