hey guys. so my situation is as following, I currently own a denon ah-d5000 connected to asgard 2, but the past 5 months or so I have been using hyperX cloud I and the denons are safely tucked in the closet. I love the hyperX cloud mic quality and sound quality but a 80$ headset will never...- headoncollision

Fiio X3 case too thin.
even though the X3 is constructed of aluminum case I can't help but think it's very thin, pepsi can thinness or a little bit thicker!. yesterday I removed it out of it's silicone cover to clean it and was surprised at the amount of dents it accumilated. I dropped once or twice, but man it...- headoncollision

HyperX Cloud vs Takstar Pro 80 - Are they really the same headphones?
In my opinion regardless if their a gaming headset which is quite a bonus in its own right, from experience they are among the best headphones one can buy under 100$, they could easily sell for 250$ and I would still buy them, I've compared their sound signature to headphones that costs 5x such...- headoncollision

HyperX Cloud vs Takstar Pro 80 - Are they really the same headphones?
For 85$ I don't think any other over the ear headphones can beat them, factoring in their build quality, amount of accessories and legendary hyperx warranty behind it, I remember having the denon ah-d1100 which cost approximately 50$ more, and the clouds sound better and way more comfortable.- headoncollision

VSONIC GR07 BE vs SHURE se315, se425 or ultimate ear TF10 help me decide?
sure. the one I got are the GR07 bass edition, they extend a bit lower in term of bass, even lower than the ALPHA which is pretty bass heavy, their soundstage is for IEMs so don`t expect a it to be wide like a 50mm headphones, but their really good for IEMs in the 100$ range, you have to...- headoncollision

Sound Blaster is now on Head-Fi!
"It looks like the SB-E5 uses the same DAC chip (CS4398) as the SB-Z, so I would think the older Titanium-HD would still be better sounding (at least a little). I would think a Titanium-HD with an external headphone amplifier, would offer the better over all sound, over the SB-E5" some one...- headoncollision

Hava CAL! 100$ to replace it. Is denon d1100 ok? Or maybe kingston hyperx cloud ?
it also has a built in mic and a battery for portability, hmmm can`t wait to get my hands on one of these, true audio companion for everything, 200$ doesn`t seem too high with all this hardware and features.- headoncollision

Hava CAL! 100$ to replace it. Is denon d1100 ok? Or maybe kingston hyperx cloud ?
nice!! a bit laid back for my taste, this song reminds me when I was in Libya in 2011, fits with the whole theme where everything is just falling apart, as for your question regarding xonar dg, it depends on your level of audiophilness, personally I think the best value for the money, DAC/amp...- headoncollision

looool yes u are! to be honest they seem like an awesome headphones to rant all day long about loool!, yes I`ve read about the clamping thing, but I see it as a pro more than a con, since as u said it will block all the noise and with these huge airbags on cups it feels like a sport luxury car...- headoncollision

thanks to you guys I got the GR07 BE and Westone ADV ALPHA, the GR07 were harsh at first but then blow my mind they sound really detailed open and neuteral, the westone surpass them by a gread margin in build quality and accessories and comfort but are due the small driver smaller dynamic range...- headoncollision

Fiio X3 vs Fiio X5: A matter of sound...
you got that right, but trust me not as expensive as automobile related hobbies, especially when you get into tuning your ride engine and parts, I mainly use the x3 outdoors and while running so the x5 was a bit heavy for me and the wheel put me off, but then again I am an entry level audiophile...- headoncollision
