Headamp Blue Hawaii Special Edition
Not going to happen, it's well and truly over. I doubt Toshiba or Sanyo would start re-production based on this industries piddley numbers. In fact I would have back-ups for the rarer parts, just in case, and insure your BHSE is able to continue past component life span or sudden failure.- johnwmclean

Best amplifiers for Stax O2 Mk1 ¿?
The KGSSHV is the way to go, in many ways it's similar to the BHSE design, with exception for the last output stage.- johnwmclean

The Stax Thread III
The 007MK1s are a bitch load, the BHSE and T2 are the only amps I’ve heard that wake them up.- johnwmclean

Amplifiers shootout for Stax 009 (Eddie Current Electra, AudioValve RKV + WooAudio Wee, Stax SRM727 / SRM007t2)
If subjective analysis through listening or the atheistic look wains, try some good old circuit research. At the end of the day the net value of your listening pleasure is all that counts. For me personally I like a well implemented design with strong technical sense. Any watch will tell the...- johnwmclean

Question about amps for the Stax SR-009
Why not? You have every right to your opinion, if we all agreed it would be pretty boring. I wouldn’t be too quick to shot the messenger so to speak. For instance in my case I had a set of used tubes that did not sound good with the 009s, bought from ebay, I assume they were past their...- johnwmclean

Question about amps for the Stax SR-009
Using a lowly BuffaloIIISE DAC and getting excellent results from a BHSE and SR-009s, not at all bright or fatiguing. No regrets at all letting my SR-007MK1s go, I had the opportunity to compare the 009 and 007 together, there's wasn't a recording were I preferred the 007, across a wide range of...- johnwmclean

Great idea! Justin can employ somebody to thread watch for all the questions needing answering. They'll have to bug Justin and waste time anyway for all the answers because they sure as hell they won't know and reply back here! You've got a real business head on you.- johnwmclean

Review: Cavalli Liquid Lightning
Alex, Does the LL pose a safety concern? KG and Stax amps are voltage and current limited at the output jack. Do your designs follow a similar safety feature? Cheers, John- johnwmclean

Upgrade to SR 009?

Comparisons of the Liquid Lightning and KGSSHV Solid State Stax Amplifiers
2C As the schematics stand the KGSSHV circuit functions flawlessly. A faulty KGSSHV amp is well, just a faulty amp. Refer to the schematics and fix it, after all this a DIY project, with no company or business front to take the blame.- johnwmclean

Comparisons of the Liquid Lightning and KGSSHV Solid State Stax Amplifiers
No. The refinements have been functionality and sizing. The build can be customized though, from balls to the wall to a modest on-board version, depending how deep your pockets go.- johnwmclean

Comparisons of the Liquid Lightning and KGSSHV Solid State Stax Amplifiers
I know the builder you’re referring too, I think... It was one of the earlier builds, from lil knights first boards runs. A lot has progressed since with reducing the risk of arching, better techniques, updated PCBs etc. The KGSSHV is always evolving, and none of them are identical whatsoever.- johnwmclean

Nothing you haven’t seen before Corey, Just a straight up Buff IIISE with Trident regulators, LCDPS for VD and 2 x LCBPS for an IVY III plus Sumr transformers. I’m using the DACs internal volume controller, any future amp builds will not have analog pots, the digital control is the best...- johnwmclean

With a fully symetrical feedback scheme as well DC coupled, my DAC shines with balanced gear such as the BHSE, my latest DAC has no SE output, as I greatly prefer balanced as it's superior by principal. David, I believe the K01 uses 8 parallel/differential DAC circuits per channel, balanced is...- johnwmclean
