ANC is desirable on a flight wireless or not. Don’t see why wired matters at all. Typically you don’t really gain any battery life by going wired with ANC over ears.- ZenErik

Exactly why I’ll be bringing my Bose 700 on my flights next month. I do enjoy my APP for a lot of my daily commutes, but it is not always sufficient for flights.- ZenErik

Airpods pro
My main issue with the AirPods Pro is the flangy sound I get with ANC on when it's bumpy or when I'm walking around. I find it really odd that reviews NEVER mention this. I end up using the APP with ANC off fairly often. As far as I can tell it's due to the APP moving around slightly when it's...- ZenErik

They have this in the health app on iOS actually. I was happy when I noticed it a while back. Realized I listen at even lower volumes than I expected even though I’m on public transportation all the time. Noise canceling really helps a lot. I definitely did listen slightly louder at times when I...- ZenErik

Funny to see people complaining about these not getting loud enough. Don't think I've ever listened higher than 50%... Must be hard being an audiophile while also being deaf? Should note that I am also using these on the bus and train at least 5 days a week due to work. Everyone okay?- ZenErik

Aeon 2 closed Impressions and Discussion
Curious about the Aeon 2 closed since the AFC is one of most comfortable headphones I have used. My complaint with the AFC is how lifeless it sounds. Unless the volume was turned quite high it sounded very dead to me. Unfortunately I tend to listen at fairly low volumes so that didn’t work for...- ZenErik

Dali Headphones
After trying out the B&O H9 3rd gen I am even more interested in the Dali IO-6. Similar design, but the Dali headband is hopefully a lot more comfortable. The H9 3rd gen headband gives me headaches. I found the circular pads much better than the XM3, QC35ii, and NCH700 with my glasses. Assuming...- ZenErik

B&O H9 Discussion and Impressions thread
Ended up returning the H9 3rd gen. Goes back to the headband comfort issues I mentioned before. Thought it was getting better, but honestly there’s just a constant feeling of pressure on top of my head when using them. The relief I felt by switching back to my NCH700 was very telling. That...- ZenErik

The Bose NC 700 Noise Cancelling Headphones
Well the Sony WH1000XM3 definitely has that extra thick bloated bass so maybe that? I would agree though that while I like the 700 it is a little a little off. There is that notable dip in the 5-6k area. The bass however is not that that thick. Definitely has a little mid bass bump, but it's...- ZenErik

The Bose NC 700 Noise Cancelling Headphones
It's a solid ANC headphone even if not the best thing ever made. If you notice it's mostly the same few people repeatedly posting about how bad it is. Some sort of vendetta against Bose, I guess.- ZenErik

B&O H9 Discussion and Impressions thread
I have no doubt that they'll be better than the WF1000XM3 for flights, but they're likely slightly worse than other ANC headphones I've tried in that particular setting. XM3, QC35ii, NCH700. Worse enough that I'll have to keep one of those other headphones around? Unlikely. I only fly maybe 4-6...- ZenErik

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones
I can return things easily here, but I’d rather not blind buy every new ANC flagship released without much of anything to go on. If I can’t try it in store and have no graphs either it’s a big turn off. I’ve blind bought plenty of stuff in the past. A bit tired of it.- ZenErik

B&O H9 Discussion and Impressions thread
I went to a B&O store yesterday to try out the H9 3rd gen. Given the graphs I've seen for the H9i my expectations were fairly low, but I came away very impressed with both the sound and build quality. Ended up purchasing a pair. I'm really curious how this 3rd gen measures, but either way I do...- ZenErik

Dali Headphones
Any Dali dealer in the USA should be able to order them as far as I know, but they haven't reached the US distributor yet. I believe a Dali rep mentioned in this thread recently that they'd be available in the US sometime in November. I contacted a dealer the other day about getting one. We'll...- ZenErik
