    new headphones?

I can't really tell you what would be good for a headphone upgrade (currently using DT770 as my main) but the O2/ODAC is a great upgrade from the Fiio E7. I just got it and it really improves the sound of all the headphones I've been throwing at it.

I really like the soundstage on the K550. Makes it really good for gaming and I tend to enjoy full-size headphones anyways. I also found that the bass was still present in the K550 and just ramped up the EQ a bit to get more quantity.   EDIT: Meant to add a quote.

    Headphone Sightings 2

I saw someone with some V-Moda's on the bus the other day. Couldn't tell what model but I think it was a Crossfade.

It's nothing too special but I love it. Next thing on my purchase list is a Magni/Modi combo but that'll have to wait a little while.   Gear list: AKG K550 Beyer Dynamic DT770 Pro 250Ohm Sennheiser HD558 with foam mod Fiio e7

What was your first headphone purchase after coming to Head-Fi?

The good ol' ATH-M50s. I used them for a couple years and have gone on an upgrade spree over the past year trying to figure out exactly what I like in a sound signature. Finally settled on the GR07 BE and DT770. Thanks for all the reviews head-fi-ers

Looking for a good all-round headphone

Quote: I had the HD558s for a couple weeks. If I recall correctly, they had less bass than the K550s but were otherwise a great sounding headphone. The only reason I returned them was realizing how light my bank account was getting!

Looking for a good all-round headphone

I have the K550s and DT770s and between the two of them I'd say the DT770s are closer to what you're looking for.

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum

I am looking to get a closed pair of headphones in the $300 range. I'm used to looking at bass heavy headphones and have mostly ignored the bass lighter headphones until I picked up a pair of HD558s out of curiosity of the open sound stage I kept hearing about. I really liked their sound but I...

Requirements are clear. Please recommend me an IEM.

Check out the Atrio m5s from atrio.me. They have great bass and are about $100 after you use the 50% off couple that's been floating around. I can't remember what the coupon code is so do a quick google search.

    Upgrading from Klipsch S4

I am trying to upgrade from my Klipsch S4 earbuds since they're kinda beat up and I'm able to listen to music at my new job. I was thinking about getting the Shure SE215 but I'm not sure if I would really notice much of a difference in sound quality. I was also thinking about the TripleFi 10 but...

    Replacing headphone jack. Need Help

I'm hoping you guys can help out. My ATH-M50s were cutting out a bit on the left side when I would jiggle the cord at the plug so I replaced it with replacements I found at RadioShack. Only problem now is the part I used was apparently of really bad quality because it won't fit into a standard...
