Audio-GD NFB-15.32 Delivery & Impression Thread
Damn, I totally forgot about reddit. Some people there seem to have a comparison of the nfb-15 to FiiO E17, which is currently part of my setup. I'm gonna try to get in touch with them. Thanks! I see. Seems reasonable. Wait, the NFB-15 does come with different firmwares? Should this be...- Zack117

Is the Audio GD NFB-11 (2014) a clear improvement over the EHP-O2 (O2+ODAC) driving an HE-500?
You've really convinced me. Thank you very much. Yes, I agree with you. Sure, there are people who see a hobby in the (re-)search itself and while that is absolutely legitimate, that's not me. Full time job does not allow a lot of hobbies and regarding audio technology, I just want to offer my...- Zack117

Audio-GD NFB-15.32 Delivery & Impression Thread
Wow, I did not expect so many replies. Thanks! Quote: Nice, I think that would be the most convenient option for me. They are offering TNT and Colissimo Suivi as shipping options. Considering Colissimo to be just half of the price (13€) from TNT, I think I'd go for that one. But I wonder...- Zack117

Audio-GD NFB-15.32 Delivery & Impression Thread
Thank you guys. Considering the discontinuation of the NFB-15 to be imminent, I shall not hesitate too long. Is there anything I should know before I definitely go for it? My current setup is as follows: PC USB > FiiO E09k+E17 > DT880. Source are FLAC/ALAC files played in foobar...- Zack117

Thank you very much for sharing your impressions. You did a very good job with describing your experiences with those devices. I'm currently in the process of deciding between the NFB-15 and NFB-11 for my DT880 600Ohm and just like you, I also have a problem with bright, harsh sound. But I...- Zack117

Considering new feed for my DT880s
Thanks a lot for your input folks! Quote: Are both DAC chips of the NFB-15 utilized simultaneously and do they perform better than one single chip (at least in theory)? And what exactly do you mean by "sound card features"? Oh, I wasn't even aware of the NFB-11 model, thanks for...- Zack117

Considering new feed for my DT880s
Damn, my entire post got lost when trying to preview it... anyway, thanks for your input! Quote: The NFB-15 looks very appealing and I see it being often recommended here, not to mention the price. Inputs also seem to be ideal for my purposes and switching between optical (gaming...- Zack117

Considering new feed for my DT880s
Dear Head-Fi, two years ago I moved into the depths of the audiophile headphone world. This site in particular was my main source of information and I am very thankful for that. After a week of extensive and I mean extensive research (mainly on the web), I decided to get myself the DT880...- Zack117

T1 vs DT880 600 ohm
Both headphones are undoubtedly top notch. The question is, is it for you? I've been using the DT880 600 Ohm for two years now and I found them to be great for overall use, in particular for classic/orchestral music. But also for many other genres. I mean what do you expect? The 880 is well...- Zack117

Petition for a "Gaming" device from FiiO
Nevermind, I didn't know FiiO is actually following this thread. You're doing great FiiO! And so does everyone else who is participating in this thread. If at all, is there a chance that we're going to see such a device in 2014? That'd be great. -

Any reply from FiiO by now? Please keep your OP up to date, just in case. -
Mad Lust Envy's Headphone Gaming Guide: (8/18/2022: iFi GO Blu Review Added)
Speaking about alternative solutions. Is there any headphone device on the market, beyond gaming industries like Tritton, Turtle Beach, Astro etc., which has a DAC and a chat functionality for consoles WITHOUT Dolby Headphone? btw. awesome petition. 'bout f**ing time!- Zack117

Petition for a "Gaming" device from FiiO
If FiiO ever releases such a device, I'd instantly buy it as long as it's not more expensive than 300€... to hell with it. If the DAC is at least as good as the E17 I'm going to replace it anyway. But please, please do not forget integrated chat functionality over USB.
